I’m 47 years old and I remember watching Bill on TV. Then I got my first VHS tape of his show that I still watch to this day. I met Bill at the Classic a few years ago in Knoxville great fisherman and a great person

At a young age, guys like Bill Dance and Rolland Martin were my idols. I'm so happy to see them both still in bass fishing and as passionate as they were 30+ years ago.

Look at how humble and thankful of a man. Alot of former elite series could be alot more thankful.

Bill was the reason why I wanted to go fishing! Him and all the guys from his era had such a influence on me in those times to learn how to bass fish. Never forget Bill and the snake falling in the boat still makes me laugh!

I got to meet him and he was so kind and considerate along with his niece. They made sure everyone got a chance to meet and get a picture with him, and he would talk as long as you would let him.

Bill has inspired so many young anglers, with his easy going, humble attitude and easy to follow, clear instruction. Him leaving B.A.S.S. to persue television was a great thing for not only him, but millions of others as well. It was great to see him on here. He is truly "one of the greats".

Im 65 and ive watched a lot of fishing. If your really depressed and just wanting to give it all up.. You have to buy Bill Dances funniest blooper videos and kick back. I promise you youll be in stitches and a much better mood after those.. LMAO till it hurt.. I watched a documentary about a little restaurant at lake seminole in Florida. It has a table in there where Rolland Martin, Ray Scott, I believe it was Bill D. and Johnny Morris .. They were all down at seminole lake sitting at that table eating together. Right!! Buy the time they were finished with dinner, they had drawn out on napkins what they were all going to do to create the entire B. A. S. S. / Bass Pro Shops / Ranger boats. Forrest wood . I think it was Forrest Wood that was eating with the group instead of Bill D. God love him lol. But the story goes that everything we see today in the Bass industry stemmed from that dinner one night, on lake Seminole, All drawn up and closed the deals made on multiple napkins at thst table. I believe they have a big carving or sign with the story in the table or hanging on the wall at the table. So theres a little tid bit of history you can research it So New Baits and Tight Lines ✌️😎🐟🐟🐟

Bill is a great guy, but he's there because they really don't have any really big names any more. Attendance is down and BASS is failing, even by there own standards. So sorry .
