Classic British Rail - Nottingham on January 11th 1991

On a visit to Nottingham station in on the 11th January 1991 we see Class 20's , 31's and 37's passing through on freight trains.

This was a year after I left Nottingham on an HST all the way to Plymouth to join the Navy. Seeing my mother's face as she waved me off on Nottingham station is a bitter sweet memory.

I was 7 when this was filmed. Loving what I grew up with. Thank you. When railways had interest. Two 31s doing the work of 1 37 lol

The state of those knackered old peds, they really were the runt of the litter! Excellent to see them hard at work though, and I bet they did find a long rake of 100ton TEAs hard going aswell when loaded.

Didn't get to see as many 20's as I would have liked only starting to see lots when they were all laid up!

Born and bred in Notts, saw 20s , peaks and the 31s on the tankers. 37s was quite rare
