@@alhouser4010 RR still has the most expensive production car in their lineup and none of the cars are worth the asking price. Having driven and owned both a 6.3 and the RR I can say they are both fantastic vehicles. However they are both extremely complex and must be well maintained. Neither car was ever meant to last for 50 years but of course mad enthusiasts rebuild and rebuild and so they can and do last. The Mercedes has some clever engineering and generally bearings and seals or replacing rubber perishable bits will fix most things. The Rolls has 2 critical service areas that get neglected. 1 is the Castro RR brake fluid which is highly hydroscopic and more corrosive than a bad politician. It must be flushed every two years. The other is engine coolant. Neglect it and you have a dead block. I love my 6.3 to bits. But then I am mad. Cheers all

@Walter K Bauer Dear Walter it is of course your right to disagree and that's fine. But as much as we might think these cars are wonderful, car companies are out there to sell them. There are only a very small number of people who can buy them and run them. And car companies want to sell as many cars as possible to these people. These cars most definitely were never designed to last for ever. In fact about 15 years is all. Indeed without great care they won't last long at all! Why monoquoc construction for one. They rust. Especially cars of this age. The sills and other box sections were never properly treated. The engines are full of dissimilar metals which create corrosion. The rubber degrades the list is endless. Even if you go back in time it's no better. And please do not refer to horrible people from ww2 they are damned for ever and rightly so.
