In this episode we feature the Brilliant Bristol 401. A car embodying German engineering and Italianate styling, as well as the combination of aircraft building techniques and that hand-fettled British fit and finish, the Bristol 401 is truly a remarkable car. With its aerodynamic all aluminium body and BMW-derived hemi-head straight-six, it was the first 2-litre production saloon to hit 100mph. It is also laden with interesting design features both mechanical and cosmetic that made it very unique and extremely innovative for its time. The 401 is a very rare car and this particular car featured here is the only one in Sri Lanka, and holds a very special place in the heart of its owner who has maintained it in a very original condition.
