I had a16 back in 1976 I have fond memories of that car it was silky smooth and so comfy I would love to own one now but there probably ain't many left

Good to see the new belts nice and tight! Btw my Grandad's r16 had the spare wheel under the bonnet. Is yours the same or is it mounted elsewhere?

Luckily I never had to do the crank -> water pump belt on my 16 but I did change the alternator belt though. Variable pulley width is something I'd forgotten about but I do know of its use on CVT transmissions.

It's a really simple system to be fair which works really well, but it very much feels like witchcraft. 😂
