I'm old enough to be your mom, but you may get a smile out of my story. I remember when I first purchased Chanel make-up sometime in the late seventies or very early 80. I was working in Manhattan and my make-up loving friend called me and said "you have to get over to Saks, they have a whole counter with all new make-up by Chanel and the foundation is amazing." Needless to say, I ran over on my lunch hour and bought almost everything. The foundation came with a giant sponge that was long before beauty blender existed. It was the only brand I wore for years and to this day, still use almost something in every category. If I had to just pick two things though it would be the BB Cream and Espresso eyeliner.

Completely agree that eyeshadow quads ARE under appreciated! I’ve been on the search for either single palette colors in these Rivoli-type shades actually, but maybe I just need to purchase this palette! I’m usually 30 beige in all Chanel foundations but for some reason 30 beige in CC cream it’s very pinkish on my skin. My skin is neutral slightly warm. And 40 beige CC work better on my skin tone it’s a warmer tone than 30 which is slightly pink/cool in my opinion. Great video as usual ❤️🙏🏼

How funny I was just at the Chanel counter in Nashville and picked up another shade of Rouge Duo Ultra Tenue. That is one of my favorite Chanel products and I now own 8 shades and still want more! My first ever Chanel makeup purchase was an eyeshadow quad, and they are still my faves. I prefer a light natural look and these are so effortless for an elegant everyday eye and never overdone. Unfortunately the foundations are hard for me to find the right shade in although I enjoy the formulas. The 30 always look a bit light and the 40 is way too dark. I have had to purchase 2 shades to blend and I can never finish them before they expire. Anyway great video and gorgeous finished look! I love the recommendations on some new classic items to try!

The Vitalumiere aqua was actually my first foundation from Chanel. I really loved it. Then I discovered their Velvet one & it was my new favorite. These days I switched from a more matte finish to something more luminous. I recently tried the new N1 de Chanel and it's now on the top of my wishlist. I tried a few of their eyeliners and didn't like them. The shades are beautiful, but they were so hard that I really couldn't get them to go on? This was quite a while ago.

They reformulated the eyeliners I believe and changed up the colors. You may want to check to see if they are anything you are interested in. I believe they did that after they did the blushes. Edit that is the information I understand, please check with a chanel representative. Have a great day.

Chanel "wouldn't dare" change the powder formula. Oh yes, they would! The bronzer, the blushes...nothing is sacred! Love it while you can. I do love the CC cream but honestly think its the most highly scented of any Chanel product and I just can't wear it, its just overwhelming so close to the nose!

The element I was missing: the bronzer as transition shade for this palette. I thought it wouldn’t work, and I was scared to try..but instead, makes it all more visually pleasing (as you say)! I am currently going thought my les beige n.24 blush in stick. Do you think is too ‘orangy’ for Tissé Rivoli? My fav classic is 99 Pirate! I love it and I love to match it with the nail polish! Ps. I think I’m going to start using channel. I was using covergirl, foundation with the beads it’s supposed to be a dupe a copy of the channel foundation with the beads. Plus if I use better quality on my skin I’m not going to feel guilty about it. It’s probably great makeup for my age as I have very deep wrinkles I’m 56 years old and I hope when I use channel it will help my skin . I had to get rid of marykay cc foundation because it smell so bad like nail polish yuk. Thankyou I look up to you because you’re a great teacher teaching how to use eyeshadow.

I did not know the Chanel makeup counter you worked was at the Green Hills Mall in Nashville. Was Tonya Jovanov there then? She is my Chanel SA in handbags, shoes, etc. and she is the best! My daughter and her family live there, actually they live in Franklin but my Son-in-Law works at First Tennessee Bank downtown. I definitely need to try the vita lumiere foundation from chanel! I would love to see an updated chanel blush ranking! I would also love a ranking of all of your blushes! years ago I had a friend who was the Chanel person at the local Nordies, and she would always call me when the national make up experts were at the store so I could get a professional make up session. Thank you for the tips. They will help me a lot to find a quad palette of eyeshadows from chanel and some lipsticks . I like the eyeshadow palettes from chanel. I only have just one single shade of eyeshadow, ombre unique in declic 07. It is empty. And premier or first gold and premier Rouge first red lipstick. And some lip glosses, lolipop and a deeper red. I bought the CC Creme a couple months ago because of your video and because it has SPF. I had a lip liner in nude from chanel, which I very liked. But I lost it. I have to go for a new one. I don't know if the Produkts in the USA and Europe, Germany are equal. I think the variety of products is a little bit different in each country.

This is probably unpopular opinion but I am a huge fan of their original wooden brow pencil. I have a hennaed hair and the brown shade is just perfect. And I love how waxy and soft it is.
