This John A. Miller designed wooden coaster was built for the opening of the 1935 Puyallup Fair and was originally a side-friction coaster with the trains from the former Scenic Railway that once operated at Oaks Park in Oregon. In 1950 the track was rebuilt to accommodate the Frederick Church designed coaster trains purchased from the defunct Giant Dipper at Happyland Park in Vancouver, Canada.
Did you know that a fire in 1970 destroyed a major section of the coaster and it was rebuilt in time for that year's fair?
The Washington State Fair takes place twice a year in April (Spring Fair) and September and is located near Seattle in Puyallup, Washington.
