Oh, it's great that you can appreciate these early episodes. Not everyone can get on board with the slower pace of early Doctor Who. I really enjoyed watching this particular story over a few evenings, they put in so much effort into the performances - I think a couple of seasons later it was quite different

Love the fact Adam is enjoying the watch/re-watch :) For Marco Polo - personally I think for a Reaction chanel where all episodes are missing, it might be more effective/entertaining to do a review. I'd suggest listening to the audio with the Telesnaps (they exist for all but part 4 from memory) then just giving a review of it. If it's too demanding after the first couple then maybe switch to reading a synopsis? But I think Adam is the kinda guy who can appreciate this sort of thing and I beleive Marie-Clare you just read a synopsis of the story first time round all those years ago? So you might get a lot more out of it listening to the full audio with Adam this time? (again, I'm not sure a reaction video for each individual episode would be that great on Marco Polo - I also think viewers will be keen to watch the next reaction after Marco Polo as that's a complete story and waiting for 7 uploads of reacting to audio might get a bit frustrating haha I dunno). X

Please do the full 7 episode Loose Cannon reconstuction of Marco Polo. There are two versions and it's a matter of what you prefer. One uses colour publicity photos, whereas the other uses telesnaps. I prefer the latter as it's much closer to what viewers watched in 1964.

It can't actually use telesnaps because there weren't any. I've seen the color one. Not seen the black and white version. There's a shorter color version on the official doctor who The beginning DVD set.

@@bobhughes2290 Of course there are telesnaps!!! Waris Hussein had them in his possession for all but episode 4 and they were published in Doctor Who Monthlhy some 15 years ago and have been used by LC. Wikipedia confirms: "It is one of three stories of which no footage whatsoever is known to have survived, though tele-snaps (images of the show during transmission, photographed from a television) of episodes 1-3 and 5-7 exist,"

I agree that Ian is the real hero of the show at this early stage, and that is especially true of this story, whereas the Doctor is still enigmatic and untrustworthy, though with little hints of the hero he would become poking through. The Dalek city model is quite impressive, though in its original form it was deemed a disappointment. Luckily, episode 1 had to be recorded a second time due to sound problems with the first attempt, which meant there was an opportunity to do some new filming for the city as well and to therefore improve the model before the remount.
