Enjoyed that Les especially seeing the 86/87's again, I have many memories of coming home on leave with the dark winter nights suddenly lit up by a flash from the overhead equipment coming up Shap .👍

I did wonder if you would stay up late to catch the 86/87 combo. Was that the track groaning under weight of 70804? Ambient light for night shots?

Only the platform lighting for the night shots. It doesnt really work across the tracks under the train shed but on the platform side or under the lower canopies the light is better. I;d assumed there was some anti-wheel slip noise from the 70 otherwise not sure

Measurement trains often appear passing through!
