Interesting to see what was happening at the Citadel without my cameo appearances! I'm surprised you got calmer weather in the afternoon as it was blowing hard well into the afternoon north of the station and across the border. Shame about the drone footage though.

Hi Tim, another excellent video. I really liked that, unlike most other people, you took the time to film the Class 66 uncoupling from the carriages. You were right, Carlisle did look very busy, and it didn't dawn upon me about the Azumas until you said in your voice over. I thought there would've been a parliamentary Azuma twice a day, starting in Newcastle and terminating in Lockerbie, via the Citadel. I reckon it'd be a nightmare for the signallers, but a service people would probably choose over the somewhat uncomfortable 158 units which are much slower over the Tyne Valley Line. Looking forward to your next video All the best from Joe

LNER normally have no presence at Carlisle but the Tyne Valley route does provide a standby for their bimodals from time to time. I've talked to some of their drivers who enjoy that scenic line - although it is very slow in comparison to the ECML. I have to admit to liking the 158s - a big improvement on the 156s which are all we get on my local Glasgow & South Western.

Sorry to hear about the lost footage but still some great content. Good to see a different tour through the Citadel with a 57.👍👍

Thanks David. It was a refreshingly different day.

An interesting day. Something I noticed is the first coach on the Eastriggs Eloper had opening windows, Shame about loosing the recording but you got the rare move through the C line.

Quite enjoyed this one as per usual, and it is always nice to see a 66 on a charter. Gives me more excuses to run them with carriages on my model railway - sorry about the camera issue, how it miraculously turned itself on to record the tail end of Tangmere's train only the cybergods will know...!

Eloper being a reference to Gretna Green, of course.

12:28 - someone must be in a hurry somehow - no red taillight. Is it an SD card in the drone ? 5G direct upload would be better I guess. Can't be long in coming. You didn't save to local storage and run onto SD when it was full did you ? Good vid anyway as ever. Interesting day. I spent Saturday following the line of a Roman Road through S London.

I've checked both the drone and the SD card every which way - nothing there. I did put a "Record before launch" notice on the drone but - sometimes, if launching in a hurry, it gets forgotten.

Very good video especially seeing all the different trains going through the station not so good about the camera not working properly hopefully you will get sorted out soon but still a good video
@schoolshortsАй бұрын
Thanks Fraser. I suspect that in my hurry to relaunch I forgot to press the "record" button and then accidentally touched it towards the end of the session. Can't think up any other explanation.

I did wonder if that happened Tim but still a very good video
