The Ranchero was sold in Australia as the XK and XL Falcon utes. They were also sold in a sedan, station wagon, and panel van (kinda like a sedan delivery with a taller roofline) versions as well. The later ones were also sold as a coupe. The first Falcons sold over here were built to U.S. specs, and started falling apart due to the conditions of our roads back then. They were significantly re engineered so they would last on Australian roads. They were sold with a 144C.I. 6 Cylinder, and were later brought out with a 170 C.I. 6.

I rescue Studebakers here in South Central Washington (Yakima Valley). Over the years I have recovered eight pickups, two large trucks and many cars. At this time I drive a 57 3/4 ton pickup with a 49 front end on it. The wife doesn't support my affliction but these old trucks are like potato chips, you can't stop at one. Keep up the good work saving that old tin.

Most people do not through South America. In 1990 as I was leaving the airport in Buenos Aires, my jaw dropped down to my knees. It was like going back in time. All the taxi cabs were Ford Falcons that had modern interiors and outside lighting. The Ford pickup trucks all had the 1972 body style. After some investigation when I got home, the molds for stamping the Falcon and the 1972 pickup truck were sent to Brazil. The Ford plant in Brazil in 1990 was still making the models that were discontinued in the US. Brazil is considered the Detroit of South America. That's where the majority of cars sold in South America and abroad are made. People should note: if you are looking for hard-to-find parts consider contacting sources in Brazil. You'll find the body panels that you've been looking for are new old stock sitting on a shelf. I bought a new 1972 Ford f250. That year was the last year of that body style 67-72 in the US. After 1972 Ford was still making that same model 20 years later in Brazil.

This episode kinda reminded me of American Pickers. So many old timers pass on leaving their family to deal with their horde of "stuff". We've seen plenty of episode of this on American Pickers. A lot of the "stuff" is junk/trash. But, It's kind of a shame as many family members get overwhelmed. They then simply throw out in many cases very valuable collections of old car parts and other items. It was nice to see that gal selling the items cheap vs. calling in dumpsters to haul it to the scrap yard or dump.

Well said mate, as I think Sarah was LOVELY - (I love her accent & calm voice, too !) I notice a few, here, in the comments, ARE also knocking her as "a silly girl" I think that's grossly unfair, as she's NOT in the car-business, nor a "shark" She just wants the barns "cleared", no-fuss, no-hassle Yeah, sure, $800.00 seems laughable cheap - But she'll have "free" barns & less mess to deal with

I had a '60 Ford Falcon back in the '80's in Denver CO, had a huge, very damaging hail storm. There is a lot of damage. I watched a late model. Corvette got crushed into the ground. My ol Falcon rung out like a World War Two movie depth charged submarine. Every stop light or sign I would get hammered. Wind shield wipers were air driven, I'd Rev up the engine to try to protect my windshield, it actually worked. I get home, had some new dents, not much else, Denver had billions of $$$ worth of damage, hadn't thought about that till I saw the Falcon in your posting, thanks for the memories.

That rancheo reminds me of my 64 I had I abused it hard and it was junk when I got it. It had holes rusted thru the front panels and when I hit mud puddles it shot up out off the hood. I bought it for 100.00 drove it everywhere literally. It's 170ci motor was worn out big time but I sold it for 100.00 after driving back to North San Diego from Arcata . I never hardly shut it off for five years. Oil changes never occurred ever. This was the very best auto I ever owned.

I would love that Falcon Ranchero. I owed a '63, 289 4 door Falcon, automatic two speed, that I owned in high school, in 1981 til 1990. I found 4 others, which i stripped for spare parts to restore it. But unfortunately found out that my moms sister had it towed away while I was overseas. It was 95% restored, such an injustice. Love to see yours restored. It looks like a '63, same age as me. Aloha. Dale B.

I’m like you guys when it comes to cool old cars. GM always had the faster cars and there has always been an abundance of parts for them so they are my go to’s for reviving and playing with them. But the old Fords 9/10 will come back to life with little effort and so I’ve always kind of admired the Ford for that, there just wasn’t a ton of things you could do with them after you rescue them if you’re a stickler for brand purity like I am. Now that the Coyote is a thing I find myself searching more for an old Ford to do something with. Ford has made major strides in the last decade as far as power and reliability and so I have have a Coyote and my wife has an eco boost and we love them. I think it would be pretty cool to see you guys do a Coyote swap and 10R80 in one of those little Rancheros. Another great video guys. I look forward to your new videos every week.

I bought a 63' Ranchero in 72', came from the factory with a 260 V8, 4spd and a 9in rear end. Great car/truck, drove it till the timing chain jumped time. Replaced the timing chain and started looking for a another motor to rebuild. I found a 289 motor and tore it down where I worked at an engine rebuilding company, bored out- Hi comp pistons, big valves, Edelbrock manifold, Holley carb. I assembled engine at home and put it in the Ranchero with headers and mufflers. Would smoke the tires in 1st & 2nd and would pass almost anything except the gas stations. I wish I hadn't sold it. Now I drive a 22yr old Toyota Tacoma truck still on the original engine, won't pass anything except gas stations.

I'll love to see you guys spend and film HOURS of trying to get them running. I wish you could have gotten that Fastback!

I had an old Falcon when I was young. and sometime it had been modified, changed to a floor shift manual transmission on the steering collumn. But I drove it all over QLD and it was a very good ol car

20 or so deep in the comments and not one question about the Mustang! The 67 and 68 Cougars are my favorite cars but I love all the old cars. If you did a video on that Mustang I would love to see that video or any Cougar videos! All the best and God Bless!!!
