Hey classic game room, this game takes me back. My dad played it when I was kid. I'm 28 now and I still have fond memories about it, glad you covered it. He's not here no more, however it's awesome to see others enjoying something that I thought was lost to time.

I have this game it's super fun!! Anything with crazy eyeballs trying to kill you is lagit in my book. Granted I used unlimited lives on the good old game genie to finally beat it. Still fun though.

Such an amazing but difficult game. While as a kid, I didn't have a cheat code, I did use the slow mo on the nes arcade stick and beat it... quite a feeling to see the end

This is gonna sound ridiculous. About ten years ago I played this for the first time when I got the game for my NES. I beat it, the first time playing through, without ever being hit once. I'm not joking. But what is even more strange, is I can't do it again. Now it's very difficult for me. I cannot replicate my actions, but I do remember how glorious it was to accomplish it.

I've heard others say that although they aren't especially good at shooters they are really good at Abadox. I guess it's just a game some people naturally have a feel for.

I remember seeing an ad for this in an old Archie comic my parents gave to me a while back, but I don't own an NES and I didn't know about emulation at the time, so I wasn't able to play it. I was just trying to remember what this game was a few days ago, as I was just intrigued by it being such a grotesque looking shooter, so thank you for having me remember it that also gives me a general look as to what this game even is.

Caverns of Mars, on the Atari 8bit computer, was the first game I ever recall, where it had you scrolling down from the top of the screen. Bonus points who knows any game that did this prior to Caverns of Mars.

This is one of the very first games my older brother and I got for our NES. We had of course Super Mario/Duck Hunt and I insisted on Double Dragon when we went to a used video game sale to get the NES. Then we were allowed to buy one used game (cart only) at the local comic and card shop some time later. We chose Abadox. We spent so much time just trying to get past the 3rd or 4th stage it may have brought me to tears at some point. We didn't have any other games for a while after that so we just started thinking that even though we couldn't get anywhere, from the multitude of times we went through the first couple rounds we must be making a dent in the alien population or something lol. Still can't beat this fuckin' game!

This is why I love the NES. I've seen this game numerous times and overlooked it because i had no idea what it was, but it looks like a pretty cool shooter. The visuals and enemy types are great. Gonna have to check this one out.

Hardest game I've EVER beat! That's last escape run is unreal!! I won't lie, I had the NES max. The one that had the circle pad instead of a D pad, I couldn't get past the final run without slow motion

I remember seeing this advertised on the back of my old TMNT hardback cover comic books that I used to collect and at the time I really really wanted to play this thing!!! But the game was never ever released in Australia (stupidly) so I bought Section Z (Which I also like instead!!) which was another hard-to-find cartridge down under?! From seeing the, the artwork totally backed and hyped up this games awesomeness but toughness as well!!!
