Save Atlantis from alien douchebags!! Dig this sweet Intellivision version of iMagic's 1982 classic, ATLANTIS!
There are many differences between the Intellivision version of Atlantis and the Atari 2600 one, most notably the remote control space ship that lifts off from the center which gives you some added firepower!
The graphics are better and the colors are more vibrant, if you're tough enough to withstand the punishing Intellivision controller with it's sharp, awkwardly positioned fire buttons.
Atlantis is a lot like Missile Command without a track ball. Shoot down invaders before they return to bomb your city with super lasers.

Wow. I had no idea this version was so different from the 2600 version. This one looks great, but the 2600 version had amazing sound effects. The bass sound when one of your cities took a hit was incredible.

Look for a wico command controller . The control disc is replaced with a joystick and fire button on the stick

Unlike Atari 2600, they could afford to put in some digitized music to spice things up. But Reveille and Taps in a game about Atlantis? Only thing, other than the controller, that I would complain about. The victory tune in Intellivision's Demon Attack was the first two bars of Pomp and Circumstance, equally puzzling.

+ZetZatar According to Wikipedia, Imagic - the second 3rd-party publisher for the Atari VCS - were founded in 1981, and liquidated in 1986, a victim of the video game crash. They were made up from ex-Atari and Activision staff.

The controller is the downfall of this system. For me, the Colecovision is in the same boat. However, if it's just a one button game, an Atari controller in port 1 and a Colecovision controller in port 2 will do just fine.
