Finally since I subscribed to this awesome channel I got the opportunity to enjoy the classics that made my childhood, before I got an Atari I was introduced to video games via an Intellivision, so watching reviews like this and Night Stalker is a kind of top moment in CGR, now I'll be waiting for Atlantis for Intellivision.

I think I have played this as a kid. The sound of speeding up, when the sentinel appears and the sprite when the ship is destroyed is so familiar... Anyway thanks for bringing back some memories and some intellivision love.

I have it and it's the best game on atari 2600. The graphics and the gameplay is amazing, and nothing was lost during conversion. And the sound tracks, oh god, so good.

The C64 and Atari 800 computer versions are pretty good too The game isn't entirely original though, it borrows heavily from the Konami arcade game, Juno First

Another great review by CGR. Bravo! I grew up on the Atari 2600 and Activision was my religion, yet....surprisingly enough, I had NEVER heard of this game until I recently got the Anthology cart for the GBA SP. O.o Anywho....it is now one of my favorites, and I wish I had discovered it as a kid. It plays and sounds just as great on the 2600 system, BTW. :)

I also like many others here say that the 2600 version is better. Just look up a vid on youtube and hear how much better it sounds. This game was ahead of its time in having special effects. I played this mid 80s and it was a blast. Now I am trying to remember another 2600 space game I played back then but I cant. It had missions and was very in depth for its time. After you finished shooting on a planet and saving people you would blast off into space and decide where to go next.??
