IIRC... You can set rapid fire in the setup screen of the game. You don’t need a rapid fire controller specifically.

You can also change the spread pattern of your discharged fire if you press B. I'm not sure what button it is on the switch. I just merced the first boss in 52:24. This game deserves to be played by kids in a hundred years time

I loved this game from neo geo. The first time I played this, we only know the power charge. Also you can switch between two colors of the fighters. After a month of playing I reached the final stage without dying.

You can activate auto-fire from within the game so no need for a turbo button.

This looks fantastic, I'm adding up the reasons for why I'd buy a Switch. MP4 and Fast Rmx are my only reasons so far, waiting for a new F-Zero, but this should be on that list, never played a Neo-Geo shmup before.

Playing Pulstar first before seeing Blazing Star makes me appreciate the over-the-topness of Blazing Star there. Pulstar is pretty moody compared to Blazing Star, although I don't think it's a bad thing.

Blazing Star is nothing like Pulstar. Pulstar is a competent but (IMO) uninspired R-Type clone, whereas Blazing Star is its own unique game. According to the developers it's not so much a sequel as it is a side story / spiritual successor.

This games is a classic, but pulstar is WAAAAAAAAY better. its sort of a precursor to R-Type. Just came here to say that sorry Mark I stopped watching your video's regularly a long time ago. Hori controllers are nice too BTW.
