I just got Project X Zone. I was looking into the games that the characters come from and this one really intrigues me. I was wondering if the controls for this game are basically like Project X Zone?

Bit of a late reply but the answer is almost. In the menu you set a queue for which attacks to use. Each time you press the A button it uses the next attack in the queue. (As opposed to choosing which attacks to use during the battle). You can also call in support attacks or switch to the next character available (it's possible to chew through all of your characters' turns in one long combo).

Stern Regisseur (German for "Star Director") is Einst Regisseur after fusing with the local equivalent of the Death Star. But actually (SPOILER ALERT again), the final battle of this game takes place on Einst Regisseur's corpse. The final boss is one of its "leftovers", Warschein Lichkeit (German for "Possibility", if you take out the space), which is similar to the Person Lichkeit from OG2 (which means "Personality", though in that game it was just called Lichkeit, which means... "ity").

Technicly, the final boss doesn't even have a gender :p Having played both the Original Generation games on the GBA, it was fun to see the small references here and there. Things like the torn off Revolver Stake arm of the Alt Eisen and the bow of the Angelg in the Schlafen Celeste. As soon as I set foot inside "Megi Castle" I was going "WTH!? This music track means trouble... x.x" And if you're wondering about the lady enemies, there are several of them as the game progresses.

And technically, the "evil gals before the end" were completely unrelated to the Einst plot. It's Saya, the main villain from Namco X Capcom, and T-Elos from Xenosaga Episode III. They just got lost in the Endless Frontier multiverse and bother you because the heroes from those games are in your party. So they're neither innocent nor pawns.

OG - Original Generation In laymen's terms, the original characters and robots developed by Banpresto for all the Super Robot Wars games, put into their own universe and continuity without crossing over copyrighted robot series like Gundam, Mazinger Z and so on.

Yes, this game has characters from xenosaga in it. Specifically, you get kosmos as a playable character, though i'm not sure where, I'm not that far into the game yet :P

Well this seems to be a spin off from the Super Robot series, which is mainly a bunch of strategy RPGs where you use giant robots from various old school mecha anime. If this is a part of that series, this is the only one like it.

This is my absolute favorite game on DS so far. A close and I mean CLOSE second is Chrono trigger, and the third is Ninja Gaiden Dragon sword. It's not the incredible amount of fanservice that is present (though it does help) that I love, but the combat! I swear, this is the most fun I've had in an rpg in a LONG time. The fighting makes you feel badass!

So much fer my theory of Stern Neue Regisseur being new Einst queen who wished to merge with humankind and become perfect. That's a 100% original story right there! Don't steal it!

You'll lost that bet, partially. The final boss gauntlet is not the any of the ladies. The last boss before that gauntlet, however, is a duo of ladies who have been bugging you since most of the game :p

I like the graphics and art design. The extreme, multi-hit combos are a bit much for me. I'm also a PS fan...I liked seeing my whole party walking around the world map, instead of just one guy. I will consider picking this game up after I've played The Dark Spire to death.

Its german for something. Most of the mechs in OG have german names. I do know that Stern Regisseur is the main boss Einst in OG and this game while Einst Regisseur is just like any of the other Einst grunts.

Emma Starr if its a complete copy then I say buy it! I got EXTREMELY lucky and managed to get a complete copy from Gamestop a few days ago (I hate them but they had it the cheapest anywhere and now they throw out all the boxes and manuals for the DS games) for $25. It was literally the only Gamestop that had it and it was about 2 hours from me but it was absolutely worth the trip. Better to pay $25 then the usual $80-$100 online.

I can emulate it if I wanted too, but I really wanted to beat Project X Zone first, But the L button on my 2DS broke, and it's not really the same, not being able to call on allies any more...Someday I'll probably buy the 3DS XL to System Transfer it to, but for now....

The battle system in it is A LOT like Project X Zone...or I should say that Project X Zone's battle system is A LOT like OG Saga (it's from the same makers). No, no! That's not it at all. The Super Robot Taisen, commonly known as Super Robot Wars, is a series of strategy games by Banpresto. In these games, you get to play as several classic japanese giant robots from various series, with ridiculously amazing 2D battle animations, pretty much the same as what you see here, or even more over-the-top.

That was unexpected. I bought this game the other day on Ebay for $35 complete thinking that it was a SRPG like the two GBA SRT OG games. Maybe I should've looked up a little more about this game before I bought it. Not that I still won't play and enjoy it though, it's just that it's not the genre I was expecting. Maybe I should've waited until it came in and played it to figure out what style of game it wasn't. At least I'll have a nice change of pace with this game after I finish up Stella Glow.

Its good, but it veers away from the usual standard of Super Robot Wars games. What I'm talkin about is the mech to people ratio. In a game like SRW Z, all eyes were on mech battles. In this game, all eyes are on hawt intergalactic babes with huge boobs. I bet ya the final boss is a lady with huuuge chichis. That's somethin I'd love to see, but alas, my loyalty to mech-based battles stands firm. And uh...I don't got the money for a DS and I'm lookin for a job again.

u can do forced evasions in the sequel and the game will tell you when the enemy will do theres if that helps

forced evasion then that makes the game easier heck OG endless frontier is already easy without them if you know what your doing he dosent show it but abusing skill cancel lets you rack up more gauge to perform special moves faster and one of aschen's skill later on is an aoe and shes like the heavy hitter of the group
