The Veil Assassin. They are "insane" and will go invisible soon after striking and stay that way until just before they strike. Kinda tough, but have strong and quick attacks, which makes them seem much more tough. And they taunt you while invisible too, just to add to the creepout factor.

The Kar with a Bayonet is the best thing. you can just round stabbing everyone in the neck. so satisfying :)

I loved how the enemies would try to stop the bleeding after being stabbed in the neck and you could hear the gargling of blood which adds the best amount of detail instead of the enemy falling to the ground like in most other shooters.

nice, this game gives me the same nostalgic feelings as bioshock, and the particle cannon looks very similar to the carbonizer cannon in the conduit. nice review btw.

yah you can have every upgrade on your gun. I have the full game and Ive up graded it with a scope, bayonet, and silencer and you can have all of them on your gun at once.

Glad you mention singularity i just acquired that game and haven't played but i saw this one cheap, so... you recomend get it too? Singularity will be my introduction to First person shooters (i don't like at all war games, i prefer this mmm let's call it fictional war games...)

Graphics wise this game wasn't your average crysis when it came out(it was quite outdated to say the least) but it's just a good game you won't forget even years after playing it... the plot is very good and the different weapons+the veil powers are extremely fun to use.

I think this game deserve more credit than what many gave it. That said, I'm not sure if its still worth 40 bucks (last I check Steam). But do keep an eye on it during holiday sales period. I'd recommend it for 20 bucks or so

Man! It took me six weeks to finish the game, but I've finally did it and enjoyed every step of the way! It's clear that Raven and ID put so much more focus on the single player mode since it's great fun all the way! The difficulty is balanced in this game, and I've never thrown the controller in rage due to spamming as in COD 5 WaW. Multiplayer, while pretty good in its own right, doesn't have much to distinguish it from the Halos and the CODs. But then Again, I rarely try Multiplayer anyway.

Ya know I'm a big FPS guy myself. The way we are playing Video games IDK but the "UP TO DATE" Graphics just look like the Chroma in the video signal is to saturated to me. Like a nuke just went off. Like I said IDK I just think the "UP TO DATE" isn't so UP TO DATE. Loved the review man! Will definitely pick this one up!

the game is WWII so 40's laser gun=(Halo 4) 2531 promeathean weapons? both disintegrate targets, but the laser thingy looks more effective.

@Onbekendeguy Pretty long. I'd say 10-14 hours, depending on if you do side missions but the compaign will keep you busy for a while. This game is straight up, over the top fun. The boss battles are insane. haha

This is indeed a great game when it comes to a long single player campaign. The story is just superb. The multiplayer is crap, but if you like a long great single player campaign with great story and kick-ass boss fights, go for this Wolfenstein, nothing beats it. Simply GREAT game.

Haven't played this game in 3 years but I thoroughly enjoyed it for the most part. A ton of action, satisfying shooting mechanics and bad ass weapons. Really engrossing Nazi occult theme. The developers really nailed it with the atmosphere and tone as well as the action. My only real complaint would be its length which I thought was a bit too long. The game almost overstayed its welcome. Still this is a very solid game and I had fun with my time playing it. I'll probably re-play it some day. Still in the midst of playing through The New Order so I can't yet really compare the two games. Regardless this one is still a great game and if anybody who's an action junkie should check it out if they haven't already. Definitely does the long running franchise proud.

As far as the occult theme, the group Golden Dawn from the game was real they were a Luciferian cult. A lot of the symbols are real too.

I'm a fairly new fan of fps, so I've missed out on the Wolfenstein series. Wolfenstein 3D looks a little too old for me, though I'm sure it was great for its time. However, I'll definitely give this one a shot, it looks very fun!

If you go in Audio options , you can switch the Audio to Russian with english subtitles. I used that throughout the game ;)

"Mein leben", roughly means "my life!". A throwback to Wolfenstein3D. As is "That man is a spy!", in the original they yelled "Spion!" (same basic thing).

Bought this game on steam for less than 20 bucks. I know it didnt get rave reviews or sale really well, but I have really really enjoyed it. First game I have wanted to play all the way through and really enjoy in a long time. Everything just feels nicely polished and fun!

Sure If you want to get technical about it. I just use "silencer" as sort of slang. Allot of people do, knowing full well what they are actually called. Same as other products such as "bullet proof" when bullet resistant is more accurate, "clip" instead of magazine, "NOS" when No2 (Nitrous) system is it's real name (NOS is a brand name). But you are right! And allot of those people who use those terms have no idea what they are talking about.

I beat this game over a year ago, I feel like I need to reinstall now. It had about the same controls as Call of Duty World at War as well as the same health system, I never touched the mulitplayer though. I'm pretty sure it's just another arena shooter like every other ID Software game.

I got this game about a month ago and I'm loving it. I had no idea it was semi-open world, it's fun just exploring to collect gold. The gunplay is some of the most satisfying I've experienced on PS3, it never gets old killin nazi's. I enjoy the multiplayer too, it's fast paced, chaotic, and fun.

here is a tip, average soldiers use mp40's so use that and ss use the mp44 so use that. It helps with the ammo.

Well I was trying to sum up every game in one comment. But Singularity does give you slight freedom of choice. It's not Fallout 3 style freedom, it's not as open choice as Bioshock, but it isn't as linear as Call of Duty.

@XxXTommo69 i totally agree with you. however, it's not that that pissed me off, it's the fact they got rid of BJ"S legendary minigun. it was his icon and the KILLED IT!!! but, since the bad guy survived that airship crash in the end (spoiler alert), that means there whould be another wolfenstein in a few years. hopefully they bring it back :)

Yeah it's a pretty fun and awesome game. My only gripe is that the bodies disappear not like in Wolfenstein 3D were you used the corpses as bread crumbs. The even made an in-game joke about that saying that corpses have a strange way in disappearing. Oh and there are some bugs in the PC version were in Downtown your game crashes allot after you receive the Radio mission.

this is true but wolfenstein is a game from a heritage of a different generation. when any non english speaking person in games movies and cartoon even books, spoke in english with a corney accent its part of the charm and style of the game imo not taking itself too seriously

I agree, it's a shame that Ravensoft has been reduced to a 3rd rate cod map pack developer who's name isn't even in the credits of the newest call of duty games. And they will most likely go bankrupt as soon as Activision is done milking call of duty. I wish that Activision would see the beauty of ravens games instead of just shoving them in the back of the closet like yesterday's used toys.

Yeah it's a great game, that's if you don't mind not having multiplayer? (I doubt there's anyone playing online). It's one of those games that sucks you in, you really care about what's going on around you. It's around 8 hours long and doesn't really feature much replay value, but there's always collectables to find, harder difficulties and missable items. The game includes some great puzzles, and have a choice of how to upgrade your character and weapons. Good choice btw and I hope I helped
