+Alejandro Berrios the whole series is fantastic. I think the focus on a good story is what made it more memorable and impactful than some other shooters.

@EnglishTurtle Yeh but that was only because EA and Dice were having problems porting it to the xbox live service and had to delay it. Therefore the xbox 360 beta ended later than the ps3 beta.

My roomates' obsession with this game's multiplayer burned my plasma tv pretty good. Developers, please, always put hud opacity sliders in your game. The few of us with older TVs will love you for it.

This is my next purchase. I've beaten Gears 1 about 3 times. Not because of the achievements, but because of how fun it is. I love the revolutionary 3rd person gameplay and the gritty weapons and atmosphere. I also love the enemy designs. It makes the Locust hordes that much more fun to kill. I thought the Brumak and Corpser were some of the coolest gaming baddies I've ever seen. Can't wait to purchase this game.

Story and game play are the most important part about any game. The way it looks should have no impact on any sales. So I agree with you entirely, I just can't stand the people who think that graphics are "important".

This game is great, and the campaign is fun - even more so if co-opped. However, it sucks on the split up parts when your friend keeps getting killed and you have to restart the same checkpoint 40+ times.

Cool. Everyone has their opinion. I have played many first person shooters over the years since Wolfenstein 3-D back in the day. But, anyway, Killzone 2 is one of the best first person shooters out today, period. It is phenomenal. Everything from x-play to ign to gamespot gave it rave reviews. Awesome game. Definitely not average. Average would be something like Far Cry 2.

one thing i really like about GoW2 is the interactiveness of the characters, when my friend and i played co-op and i would throw a grenade and miss my target, he would say "You missed!!" or something to that extent, and at the same time a com in the game would say "You MISSED!!", me and my freind laughed at that and i think it was quite ingenious how they programmed them to say things like that, i also like the razor hail, especially on multiplayer when the bots get stuck in it and die

Yeah you're right, saying that a game sucks because of bad graphics is totally unfair and doesn't make sense at all. But all I was trying to say was that it is also untrue to say that graphics don't matter at all because they are still part of a game and contribute to the fun as well.

@xMaJiiCz good point, but AA in a Close Quarter game doesn't do much, do it is convinient to have... just a heads , im not in console,(I hate console war) ... Im a pc but I think that each console do have + and cons.... I must admit that Pc do have + and cons, im not a fanboy just a guy who enjoy playing videogames!

The only thing I wish they would have done with this game was to have the preview stuff in there like when they sit under a tree and sad world song plays and have a cool down in bewteen the war, wish that made it into the actual game would have made it all the more epic

Sounds fair to me. But, it is in a 3 way dance for overall best PS3 game so far with Uncharted 2: Among Thieves and Metal Gear Solid 4. Can't wait to see how Bioshock 2, God Of War III (PS3 only), Alan Wake (Xbox 360 only), Heavy Rain (PS3 only), Yakuza 3 (PS3 only), Lost Planet 2 and Dead Rising 2 turn out. Not to mention Resident Evil 5 Advance/Gold, Super Street Fighter IV and Super Mario Galaxy 2. A new Zelda for Wii in 2010 as well. 2010 is going to be a great year for us gamers.

@IBrady09 theres nothing that bad about your system it's just that the exclusives don't appeal to as many people in my opinion. when i was making the choice the only thing on the PS3 which i was interested in was resistance and the god of war series, xbox had halo, mass effect and gears of war, fable as well.

Single player was great in Gears 2 - excellent game. I just wish they would fixed host power. I mean, that's where the lag comes from; when host is given to a player from the other side of the planet or someone with a bad connection.

@xMaJiiCz You can't use that as an argument because that was way back then... Now the PS3 has many titles to offer for many gamers alike, from shooting, adventure, action, etc. Plus, the controller thing isn't a good enough argument since a lot of people prefer the PS3 controller just because it's a standard comfortable controller. And I don't know what you're saying with this whole "online interface thing." The online for both is the same experience.
