Just beat this game. Wow, what a hidden gem. It's a great platformer. Here are some passwords if you want to skip to different stages. 4915 8649 0238 6045 9156 3725 5826 9587 0157 and the final boss 3752. Once you find the pattern for the final boss it's very easy.

I just started getting into Bomberman games myself and where have I been all these years, great stuff! If you're going to play Bomberman on NES, I suggest Bomberman 2.

Agreed. I have both Bomberman games on the NES, and the first one is pretty primitive. The second, however, is fantastic.

This was the first game I played on my GBC. Got this and the Zelda remake and as I'd already beaten Zelda on GB I tried this first.

I didn't know there were side scroller Bomberman games! this looks excellent. I'm wish Bomberman for the Switch had an adventure mode now, but whatevs; regular Bomberman is awesome lol

It's good that you pointed out that the retron 5 no longer reads gameboy games,because that means that not only is the system very sensitive to errors but the connections are made of bad quality, Once you see the game running on gameboycolor, it's hard to imagine that we were so used with the rawish spinazy screen of the old gameboy.

This is my first Game boy color game and I love it. Jump mode isn't much fun, but normal mode is a lot. Very enjoyable game.

I'm into bomberban since the SNES, knowing it will be back on the switch is good, because the last bomberman game we got was a multiplayer only wii launch title, a good one to add, but it's 10 years without a multiplayer bomberman, the last one with a good campaign was on the gba during the launch of the DS, it's 12 years ago.

Can't say I've ever played a Bomberman game before but this looks really cool--definitely gonna try and grab a copy on eBay to add to my collection. On a side note, very cool how you recorded the gameplay across multiple devices--I thought that was a nice touch and gave the review some visual variety. 👍

I LOVE Bomberman but I've never played this one, it seems weird being a platformer and all but still retaining the same gameplay as regular top-down Bomberman... But since Mark seems to be enjoying it quite a bit then I guess it's not bad at all huh? The first NES game is kinda boring though, if you're gonna play Bomberman on the NES you gotta go with Bomberman 2, it's closer to the PC engine version than its own predecessor on the same system and it's a lot of fun, great graphics and great music too! Another one you just gotta play is Super Bomberman on the Super Nintendo, it's quite a bit more forgiving than the other games in the series and it's got a lot more powerups too!

GBA SP ags 101 is pretty much all you need! GB, GBC, GBA. All the great classics in one system! What other system nowadays does that?! None! (emulators dont count) ;)
