I'm friends with the mage in the last clip. We found the paladin from that group and whispered him for the clip of the fight. We were all laughing at them for blaming him. The warrior was in all leather gear dual wielding and getting trucked by the boss and all the other stuff people have already mentioned in the comments

That last clip is so toxic. If you pay attention the Rogue pulls threat -> paladin bops him (How a rogue with vanish pulls threat don't ask me) So he sits in a full duration BoP not doing any dps. The warrior was super slow to taunt back the boss and reposition it so the whole group took shadow AoE damage. The healer panicked. Bubbled too late because of this and the Mage died. Then they BLAME the dead mage who was playing decently enough.

Hoping to correct/add on to this so more people don't die like this, but while that mage didn't intentionally grief he kind of griefed by playing badly. I think thats that the clippers were meaning. He had the right idea of "kill adds" but the execution was goose egg. Running/blinking in to Nova/CoC/arcane explosion then taking all that time to run out again is super grief. If the tank gathers the adds to him, you flame strike. If the healer is pulling adds to him, then you AE, CoC. He spent so much time AND mana running around like a chicken and therefore they didnt meet the dps check.

It's the tank & healer combo that's griefing here. Tank losing threat, to a rogue... as alliance. Healer spamming FoL, healing the dps instead of topping the tank. I see 3 people here that's griefing and none of them are the mage.

@@iamblorbie that's what I'm saying. Also a good tank can gather them to him at range with a single Demo shout. Which is why you saw the mage blink in in the first place. And the rogue got aggro off of the MS clear. Healer wouldnt HAVE to be spending so much mana and so many globals healing the mage if the mage was being smart and being NOT IN THE AOE AURA in the first place. The mage made it worse for everyone.

@@rainewolf8520 Two things, no - a warrior will not be gathering all of them with a single demo shout. Because even a single FoL will probably rip em off anyway, the skeletons go for the one tanking the boss until any threat is made, so timing on a FoL will instantly rip them over to the healer, so there's no point. Mage was taking aura damage, yes. But that's not what was wiping this group.

Last clip, all the War/Rog/Pala's fault. War doesn't have boss in corner, Rogue taking boss aggro and not giving healer a break, paladin wasting many heals on Rogue, 60% mana LOH panic healing... Massive L to the Paladin and his buddies, they got a mage killed for no reason.

Pally in last clip blaming the mage and yelling for blizzard is awful... mage was getting skellys, tank was tanking to close, and pally was doing an awful job healing, moving around for no reason not casting, used LOH piss poor, lets mage die first, and then says mage grifed... rofl. Warrior over there using thunderclap on skellys too causing them to split, and making it harder for the mage to kill them fast with minimal GCD's for AOE.

Yes, it does, but only at the end of the spell. Because of the delay between your client and the server, you can usually start the next cast a little bit faster than where your cast bar says you can.

The dots were already ticking before the loading screen was completed. So his hp was not shown correctly. When he hit 0 hp on the server he died and all the missing ticks came at once on the client side.

@@BlankeeStarcraft It's safe if you know about it. It does 120% of your max life over 24 seconds, so it's better for you to unequip any stam gear before teleporting, makes it easier to eat. Alternatively you can just drink a healing potion as long as it heals you for >20%. If you get the debuff and find you don't have any good food or healing items. You can run to the inn and log off for 8 hours as a last resort to remove the debuff.

Transporter malfunction, having engineering as a profession comes with risks. He fked around and found that out the hard way. The debuff it gives may have been bugged since plenty of things are in Classic but who knows, plenty of other engineering malfunctions can straight up kill you too.

Mage's job on that fight is to use blizzard and cone of cold to kill the skeletons before they get on the healer. The real problem was the rogue pulled threat on the boss and pulled it into range of the group... Then the warrrior didn't take aggro back and reposition it quickly enough. Most of the problem was caused by the Rogue and Warrior

Garbage group at the end getting carried by that mage and too stupid to realize it. 1. Rogue doesn't watch aggro and takes boss off tank 2. Tank splitting the adds with thunderclap making mage's job harder 3. Tank just lets the boss stand in the wrong spot murdering everyone 4. Rogue sits through the ENTIRE BOP after tank takes boss back, not dpsing 5. Paladin spamming flash of light like a bot instead of holy light, then burning LoH as a result 6. Rogue PETRIS WHEN BOSS IS 5% HEALTH and 4 people are alive, and refuses to leave petri despite his friends yelling they have to finish boss 7. Blame the top dps mage who is killing adds like a champ lmfao

All I can say is this, while attempting to run a raid with gear that is a little below par (the latter part of mc on the first guild runs, and any after when you first touch the instance) it's much easier to hit dps checks. I'd rather remind everyone to watch their aggro rather than risk a wipe due to low dps.

ngl, the priest roilling on eternal blade of darkness is just...weird as fucking hell. There is NO shot a person could justify using that one, not whilst leveling, not whilst anything. The ONLY time I see if maybe being used is in duels against...maybe warlocks? But even then, you're dueling against warlocks, you're gonna lose.

The weapon is BIS for mage aoe farming. A priest could use it for holy nova spam, but this is pointless. In this particular group, the priest was a healer, so he was not allowed to roll for a DD item without asking. You can consider it ninjalooting.

Blade of Eternal darkness drop rate was boosted quite a lot in p5 or p6, so the higher drop rate should be in HC too, around 2 %. Sure it's still quite rare, but it only takes 50 runs on average to farm it, and princess is a pretty easy solo at 60.

It doesn't suck. The proc is nice, even if it doesn't benefit from your gear's bonus to shadow dmg. It's just outclassed by +dmg weapons, which you can get quickly or not so quickly, depending on luck with drops.

@@supermeuhmeuh Do you ever have heared, that the main damaging spec for warlocks is Destruction? And Destruction spec doesn't use any DoTs at all, so the weapon is actually really good. When you try to use the dagger with DoTs or channeled spells cause your brain is damaged, then I can see your point of calling the item useless.

That last clip is so hard to watch , They claim the mage griefed no he was doing what he was supposed to do . Rouge miss played , warrior didn’t taunt aggro off rogue and reposition boss too the corner causing everyone to take shadow damage . Pallys panicking miss playing . Watch who you dungeon with guys . Something similar happened to my first mage that died in ulda wipe at lvl 48 . Tank clueless pulled a ridiculous amount of stone stewards we all realize immediately, warlocks spamming NOVA NOVA NOVA . You can’t cc those mobs , slow them w frost or nova lmao . They blamed me somewhat for not nova when you can’t . I even tried to save everyone while running bye pulling aggro w arc explosion pulling to the back of a separate room then using a double ice block to give them space too run out . But they didn’t know the correct path out lol . Moral of the story be careful who you do content with .

Righ, last clip: Rogue pulls agroo, Warrior takes 4 seconds to taunt back, whilst complaining about the mage killing the adds (no he doesn't have to blizzard the adds, he needs to kill them and keep them off the heal, which he did). After the taunt, the Warrior still didn't take Baron to where he should be tanked. Then we have a Paladin using default sized blizzard unit frames, in the original location which is terrible because I assume he's looking at his action bars, so he can only see one thing at a time. On top of this, he doesn't have @mouseover macros on the heals which is just making his job harder. Lastly he panics when warrior is at 20% health and wastes 60% of their mana. Use more Holy Lights, macro your skills, make your unit frames bigger. Don't complain about the mage griefing you when you were the ones playing like shit.

flash of light is the most mana efficient heal in the game. you only use holylight if you somehow have mana,got the cast time to use it,and actually need the healing output. holy pala is pretty much using like like 3 ranks of flash of light,mostly r1 lol

FoL spam is optimal. The high crit chance with talents and int (avoid spirit as Paladin, it's pointless) plus the healing power will make even rank 1 FoL do decent heals. Coupled with mana per second (your other optimal stat) you basically never run out of mana, which is key for holy as your main job is single target spam healing the tank.
