I know you focused on the Wagoneer specifically, but my favorite grille is actually the Muscle grille found on '81-'83 Cherokees and '81-'88 J10 trucks. They're incredibly hard to find in good condition. I just got one, but I might need to find a new surround for it (mine uses the same surround as the "Final Edition" grille).
