I run my founders C1 in the exact same setup except I run LRM 15's with arty, 3 reg ML, tag. I run Light Ferro, Endo, Double HS, and Light Engine 300. 5 tons of ammo and a single JJ to get up pesky hills/ridges. It excels when you stay in group and get at about 5-600 meters and they have no time to react to your incoming damage. Great vid Baradul, keep them coming.

There are a lot of baseline mech in the Battletech universe that are pretty bad stock. This is not one of those. The Catapult is such a simple build that works wonders. I love it.

That first game was hilarious! Good fun, but watching Baradul hare off left and right rather than continuing pressure and support in the main fight really hurt. It worked with the Hellbringer a bit but then chasing that Rifleman was silly. If you thirsty for kills, don't be LRM boater or sit with the team. Still fun to watch :D

@@roberts.wilson1848 He is still pro, really, compared to most anyways. He's never been like The B33f or a few others that are just *insanely* good, but he's still pro. He is getting a bit sloppy but I think that may just be burnout on the game and goofing off, right? Who knows.

I always laugh at people who think LRM Support is just sitting (almost) stationary and hunking away. You need to move. Don't be in the enemy force's faces, but don't sit in one spot and then cry when you get outmaneuvered. Also 666th like. Yeah boi.

I’d like to see this build with three small X pulse. So if someone rushes under your minimum. You can hit them with some sustained low heat damage. Especially useful for mechs near death

While i find pure LRM'ing quite boring, one can't underestimate the power of them. Especially if the whole enemy team is nothing but C-LRM's, and my supernova is the only target available.

The entire enemy team could have stock IS Medium Lasers and that would still be true, just sayin' :D

You're not doing anything important for the team. You're basically a solo who try find stragglers. Meanwhile the pressure from multiple direct brawlers makes distractions. The LRM boat shoot missiles but there's no point into firing back unless you are dedicated to take it down.

I still spot for my team, and dish out damage to the enemy team where i can (You might be surprised, what a supernova is capable of with 800+ damage every match, unless heavily focused), plus i tank those missiles, so that teammates don't have to. You are barking up the wrong tree there mate.

@@jkl9984 U don't need them. You attribute damage but they'll be gone by the time you still around. You spot, you shoot and they do nothing back because they're busy with killing your team.

This is an inefficient build. I'd definitely dump the jump jets for more ammo and probably the Artemis IV as well. Just so I could cram more ammo in. My build has standard LRMS and no JJs and is packed with ammo and I still run out most matches.

@@nawerschon5777 Gives you "bunny ears" that the enemy can see. Like, ever notice an Archer with big 'ol things sticking up? Same thing. So it makes you more visible to the enemy, and stick out like a sore thumb.

Anyone else think the Catapult is too short/small for a heavy? I question the sizing sometimes of the Mechs in game. I think the Catapult is closer to the Thunderbolt in height, maybe it's just because the two mini's a close in height. Idk, seems too small too Me.

Tbolt and Cpult are both 65 tonners, low end of the heavy bracket.

The Catapult is actually one of only like 2 mechs in the game that have lore accurate size. I think the other is the Locust, or the Flee.

You have to use keyboard software. It's a pain in the ass. We've been asking PGI to fix this since the game was in alpha.

Just set a Mouse Button to TAG. Example: ER Meds: Left Mouse, TAG: Right Mouse, Missiles: Key 4

I hold the page down button on my mouse for the tag key so just grip my mouse a Lil harder when I want to get tag lock

Like me he has a RAZER Basilisk, the foreword key is practically where your thumb rests so he binds the TAG'a weapon to that key. That way he can hold it down with his thumb at rest. He mentioned it in a few daily dose videos and on stream several times. I use mine left handed though so it's not really an option for me. Also TAG can give your position away so I use mine more sparsely.

I wish I had this kinda luck. If I ever try to play an LRM mech it's a guarantee the enemy team will have a ton of AMS and I'm lucky to get 400 damage.

Yes... and it's "free" so hop in. You will have to spend $$ on mech bays, but it's worth it.

They run events every month that give free mechs and MC (the $$ currency). So after you spend $20 or so to get yerself set up, you can continue for free after that and still get more stuff that would normaly cost money. I find myself playing MWO much more often than war thunder, which operates the same way, even tho WT is much more popular, just because of the events.
