In 1981 I was buying Matchbox kits at Woolworth for 1 dollar in Canada.

NOTE: I forgot to say; the 21st Panzer Division were in action at Arnhem, not Berlin as I said.

No they didn't. You are mixing them up with the 21st SS Panzergrenadier regiment.

Peter, I love these videos Matchbox really were cracking kits I used to love them. As you will appreciate when I was a lad the go-to Kit manufacturer was Airfix but I always thought Matchbox had the edge.

Yes, it was a simpler time when we just built the models for pure fun, and maybe didn't take things so seriously, as someone else said, they looked great.👍🏻

matchbox 'afv's - all the airfix ones being called 'tanks' by me and my friends - were really good at the time, cheaper than the more detailed japanese models, but with a display base and often figures, those being really good [still are I think]. but the tracks, although featuring a foolproof way of linking, were always very tight and often, my drive sprockets arched outwards as a result! no, i never waited til the glue had dried! remember some of the afv's were in funny colours - a light blue and white T34 comes to mind!

"Black people have faith in Adolf"?! Still incorrect from a grammatical point of view. But interesting. Would like to know, what they were trying to express with this. ;-)

HANOMAG was one german company manufacturing, also Auto Union,weserhütte and others the SdKfz 251 (Sonderkraftfahrzeug 251), the german word for half track is Halbkettenfahrzeug. /1 means with two MGs, "Schwarzem Vertrauen dem Führer" is improper german and is meanless, just stupid, translated it would be: blacks faith to the leader, ???? schwarzes Vertauen would make a better sentence, but also absolute pointless
@HO-bndk2 жыл бұрын
Vertreven? Isn't it "vertrauen"? And "Schwarzem" doesn't mean "darkness" in the sense of "evil". I can't translate it here as it has racist overtones that KZbin would stomp all over.
