Thumbs up from me 👍🏻.. that tiger seal is a bugger to get off ... sticks to everything 😂
@jagvette13 жыл бұрын
Wow that's a shit load of blasting material, lucky bugger. I was told and you would need to check you don't need any more than 90 psi for blasting. I found every time I used the blaster tank like you I got shocks, so I now put a ground strap between the gun and the piece I am working on. Wow your so mean give your dad a new rubber glove without holes :)
@upbuild43973 жыл бұрын
Haha yeah we’ve had all that media sitting there waiting to get on with blasting the shell, mind it’s all single use stuff then through it away.
@more.power.3 жыл бұрын
Excellent work guys. So many of our skilled trades men and woman have been lost to automation. Robots build cars now and the fine art of the English wheel, using a dolly will be lost forever if we don't pass these skills on to the next generation.

Very nice to see a father and son working together and having a good time doing it. I would have cleaned the spilled black sealant right of reprimered the damaged spots and put a tiny little role of the similar but than in white sealant right against the folded edge of the doorskin were it meets the door frame. It will prevent water from coming in between the two panels even better. But I would love to see you guys continuing
@patadamson40053 жыл бұрын
Just imagine how many more minis would be around today if they had used a bit of sealant when they put them together in the factory instead of sprinkling rust seeds through the cars. Great job lads and great to see you back at it Dad.

My dad had a mk 1. He took all the interior out to weld the floor just before the mot then realised he had 5 year old me with him. He put an upturned pop crate on the passenger side so I could sit on enroute to the mot garage. The 70’s were fun.

Your doing a fantastic job , i bought 13 minis a few years ago and restored 8 off them the rest i used for bits and sale parts . My purpose at the the time was customising ie special paintwork and interiors .They all sold at the time between 3 and 6k wish i had them now !!!!! Also had a couple off Coopers which sold for good money . Its funny people think because it a small car the work will be easy ? lol J P autos

It’s crazy how expensive they have become in the last few years, especially the more desirable models and early cars. We only paid £850 for this about 4yrs ago.

Impressive series of a classic mini conversion. I spend the whole day watching your videos from Ep 1 to Ep 45. And it was getting better and better in your video editing. As a fan of the Mk 1 Minis, I am impressed of your absolutely skilled metal working, incorporating your secret weapon which is your dad👍. A fantastic father and son project which i want to follow until your mini is finished. My deepest respect and stay healthy !!! Cheers from Germany 🙏🧑🏼🔧

Hello both . Hammer and dolly , it's the only way ! So, Dad must have been in the trade as having seen all of your video's l've often commented how you constantly put so called restoration specialists to shame ! And watching how you controlled the gun just sealed it for me , your Dad is your mentor ! All my children and grandchildren are girls and really never showed any interest in bodywork /restoration .....pity! I would loved to have passed on my skills to them . l trained up a few apprentices over the years. I would strongly resist sand blasting the shell with the media you're using . I did a couple of Lotus Cortina's and it proved impossible to get rid of it . I still had particles getting in the top coat , not on the top surfaces , but out of the box sections !!!! It really was a night mare ! Your saving grace is the mini doesn't have too many boxed in area's ! Great stuff as always and l think the one thumbs down is someone pulling your legs ! Thanks .

Thank you for your comments, appreciate them a lot 😁👍
