what compression should be aimed for, and ceramic coating should be a checkbox on the order form. Would be interested in one of these eventually, but that's for a year or 2 from now, and possibly with a rebuild.

compression is tough to say as it depends on a lot of factors, like boost levels, cylinder head material, engine management setup etc. Ceramic coating is also done on a case by case, as colour and items to be coated vary the price quite a lot. feel free to fire us any questions you might have when you get around to building yours though!

Awesome video brother! Now I know where to get my turbo goodies for the Herald if I ever manage to dig it out of the garage! The creative juices are flowing again! Haha

Well I certainly love mine! GBC22 hot side and the OG cold side prototype!

Would the GBC22 work well on an 1800 B series out of an MGB? I am currently using a vj33 of a ford courier as that’s what I had, but it’s not ideal

yup the GBC20 or 22 will be ideal on the B series, the 20 will make for a better low powered driver, the gbc22 will happily make over 250hp on a built engine

Awesome kit, and great video, out of curiosity what are you doing with the gearbox to handle the power gains, do you also run new cranks. Cheers Marty

Thanks Marty! Depends on your power levels but I'd recommend a straight cut gear set, or the Evo helical setup, with a x-pin diff at the very least. Standard cranks cope great too as a turbo engine doesn't need the higher rpm to make the power 👍
