yes, do more of these, very interesting seeing the prices they fetched.

Surprised you didn’t mention the 1971 t120 bonnie. Ok it was oil in frame but for 3500 was a good price for an all black bonnie.

Investing in Classic Bikes just has to be a better financial approach than leaving your Cash in a Bank and watching it lose value daily! Of course, it is much more fun!!

Interesting how pricing moves with the generations with people buying bikes they wanted when young. Coupled with the funding through pension drawdown I can see top end investment category mid seventies Japanese taking the money that previously would have gone to old British steeds

I'll happily swap an RVF 400 for a 1920s/1930s girder-forked british bike if you have one ;-p

I was able to see a very beautiful BRIDGESTONE MOTORCYCLE 350GTR. I am very happy. Thank you. I sincerely hope that these Japan old motorcycles will not be chopped up and made into pathetic café racers. Cut off the seat rail and put self build seat on it, short stroke front fork, separate handlebars, bar end mirrors. There is nothing original about this. Rather than building pathetic cafe racers, cafe racer builders can sell off their stock bikes to the Japanese and buy the motorcycle of their choice, even the maintenance costs. It's scribbling a surfing rider on Hokusai Katsushika's Kanagawa Okinawari.

I have in storage a 1992 ZZR 1100 D1, 2 owners, I am the second. It is original, I have spare plastic etc. It has been stored since 2004 and the mileage is genuine at around 30k and with a fair amount of history. I believe this bike will become a classic. What do you guys think? Is it worth spending time and money to get her back to original condition?

Is the Bear Catholic!? Absolutley and for sure do it now - if it does need any parts they won't get easier to find. Plus if its in perfect condition and properly prepared you can store it and it'll probably increase in value more than if you don't. But unless you have something else you love riding instead ..... Why would you not be riding it?

With all this heavy push to go “green” I wonder whether the price of the bikes with drop off? With the next generation may not want them?

Might become more desirable when we can't buy new petrol bikes?
@p.istaker88623 жыл бұрын
Ten to fifteen years max. If you look at the age of various classic club members, the fact that younger people will more likely call an Uber than learn to ride, the potential for petrol to be even more heavily taxed in the future and possible restrictions on use.
