Outstanding video! Excellent questions from your cinematographer as well, and great job showing details. I do have one addition, I have a 1955 CB34 Goldie, and the pistons you show were a period aftermarket type that was designed to be a tighter fit but not nip up while running. These are common here in the US.

I’d like to see the main bearing a little tighter in the case of the Atlas. Perhaps some Loctight.

Hi Dave, I am just wondering if you can help me , I have a 54 b33 and fairly new to me , it is fairly tidy but when I rode it it had a bad binding cyclic vibration, after checking the primary found the chain really tight and the chain alignment out by .060" , I fixed all these issues and 80% of that vib is gone , now I've experimented in 3rd and 4th gear and I'm fairly sure it doesn't do it in 3rd at the same 50mph speed , i feel it in top gear the most. So maybe the gearbox bushes or bearings ? , have you come across this sort of thing . ? .cheers

Close ratio box was a nuisance on the road. Constantly having to slip the clutch meant frequent clutch repairs. This box is only good for racing but many riders go for what they see as "top spec" regardless of practically.

Greetings Doesn't the factory provide an end float figure for this bike? Saves guesswork.
@iannorton-t7k

@Alexander Greetings Dave.Yes thats so. Just that watching the video, there seemed a lot of talk about end floatand trying from side to side, thats great. Then you need the factory end float figure, assemble the cases without shims, and read the figure off the dial gauge mounted for the purpose, that gives you the shims required. I'm sure you're aware of all that, but the watchers may not have been so clear.I think you need to decide who you're talking to on the show., the layman or someone more experienced. Sometimes simplifying things can be a trap. Anyway, I enjoy your ramblings. ,
