What a beautiful solo it’s so hard to find ones as old as this there in one in Greenock (V723HEC) might be the oldest solo in service sounds stunning aswell :)

@@anonymoususer-gq2vh I preferred the W12 buses which were at First Group which they had the Allison gearbox. The HCT Group Solos are good but the Allison solos are even better.

It's done well to last this long as loads of Solo's have been scrapped even as young as 08 plate. I guess nobody wants them or are completely shot after withdrawal. Lots of them suffered frame rot as well.

@@AndMoreCentral Stagecoach have really looked after it and Solo's are simple buses anyway. Optare should have made the frame out of aluminium instead of steel as it doesn't mix. Hopefully someone will preserve this Solo.

Well some definitely need to be refurbished and sold to new operators as they're a simple starter bus and they're not produced anymore AFAIK
