So funny, for the Batman War cover comic, I did a max bid of the $1570 and did the "walked away" thing and didn't watch the auction for this book. I was hoping to get it for 10 dollars over the last price! 😆 Oh well, better luck next time. BTW, is Heritage the only company that you are able to pull this much "Auction sales" data from? Are you ever able to get sales data from Ebay, MyComicsShop, or other places that frequently sell/auction comics? That Famous Funnies Franzetta cover is amazing! Well worth the 4K! I saw the Det. #225 yesterday at the Grit City comic show in Washington. It was not slabbed and I was just looking for slabs for early BM. Maybe I should have stopped and tried to negotiate a price LOL. Don't even recall what they were asking, but more than likely it was Covid prices. Loved the show, as always! I could watch these types of videos every day (twice)! 🤗

Heritage makes their archives available free to all. They and many other companies supply data to GPAnanalysis who charge a subscription fee for access to the data and their analytic tools.

I noticed a couple of the books had pretty bad rusty staples! Do they put an inhibitor on them before encapsulating them? Just thought that with the small amount of air trapped in with the book, the rust would just get worse, causing the paper to deteriorate more than it already is!

There is no inhibitor. It is possible for the rust to increase if the slab is in a humid environment.

great question, Deadman...I've read a few articles, claiming that microchamber paper helps slow oxidation for a few years (possibly), but you need to replace it, every few years, also.
