Hi Iain, thanks so much 🙏 and glad you enjoyed it 🙂 Yes, there really were - not just the rarity but the condition of many of the cars was just amazing. The only slight disappointment for me was that the SLS Final Edition was withdrawn from the auction. I have a soft spot for AMGs and this was a really rare edition likely to fetch

Great video! I love that you match the actual bidding with a brief look at the respective car, and the honest evaluations of the rusted panels, etc. Also, I can't believe the Testarossa went for relatively so little! I'll take 2 then! I've had my eye on a Ferrari California (i live in Calif) for several months, but did you say it was "entry level"!??? Wahhhhhh! I'd only get it if my cryptos went up drastically anyway, but they seem to be headed in the opposite direction. Cheers on a great show and looking forward to many more!

Entry level is all relative with Ferrari 😂 you'd definitely get much better use with the top down in a California where you are than here in the UK 😎 I actually think it's a pretty good buy these days, even though some purists sometimes don't like it so much...

Thanks for the review i enjoyed that. Would you say with the odd exception values really are coming down . I sort of sensed a feeling of people offloading cars ,possibly i am wrong 😮. Look forward to the next one 😂

Thanks very much, glad you enjoyed it. I'm no expert, but from what I've seen recently at auctions it seems some of the older high-value cars don't seem to be fetching the same values, e.g. Bentley S2 Continental, E Type at this auction, and also MkI/II escorts to an extent. Whereas some more modern classics are fetching higher values, particularly things like Cosworths, also the Testarossa, F430 in this auction. I've spoken to a few classic car dealers recently who all shared this view, and see this shift continuing due to the age group of people usually buying high value classics meaning many of these buyers were lusting after 80s/90s cars in their youth, rather than the 60s/70s cars. But who really knows?! Sorry for the long answer!

@Rich_Runs_Cars Thanks Rich,appreciate the reply. I guess it's a case of watch this space. The one that shone out for for me was the F430 . I guess the age old question would i drive it as nature intended or put away in moth balls. I would drive it and watch the value decrease 🙂. In my mind i would have virtually a brand new f430 wbich would need to be enjoyed. Cheers

@davidlloyd-cx3er Yes, exactly - the F430 seemed like a huge premium for the ultra low mileage to me. And that's exactly the trouble, if you get a very low mileage car you might not want to drive it much, as the extra miles have a disproportionate effect on value. I'm one for using cars myself (and I can't bear to pay the low-mileage "tax"!!). Really interesting though, as you could get a really good 458 for the price of that F430 though - by all accounts a much better car. But no manual gearbox on the 458, and I do wonder if this might also start becoming more of a factor in modern classic values....?

I am with you regarding usage albeit my Caterham only gets around 700 miles a year on it but thats more because it is a weekend fair weather toy really and as we all know in this country the weather can be rubbish a lot of the time. Be interesting to see how next year pans out with regards values. Watch this space i think .

I think I only managed under 1,000 miles in my GBS Zero this year so I know what you mean there! Yes, interesting to see... It's very hard to predict - most of the professional predictions I watch seem to get it wrong as well!

A shame for me was that you didn't feature any of the porsche's or the mini's. Prices do seem to be resetting, which some sellers will not want to accept. 😊

Yes sorry about that...I really wanted to feature a couple of the Porches, especially the 914, but unfortunately my video wasn't good enough. Yes, exactly... The difference between expectation and reality!

You're right, it was a competition car running a modified period 3.0 RS race engine. It didn't sell but looked like a good buy to me. Quirky is best 🙂

Was that Porsche 914 a four or six cylinder? What did it sell for?? Love it

The 914 was lovely... Unfortunately my video wasn't good enough to include it. It was an evocation with loads of modifications...a 3.0 RS race engine with loads of work on it. Awesome car guided at £40-50k but it didn't sell.
