I think what we had in the '50-'70s was the Golden Age of Rock, '80-'00 was the Silver Age of Rock, and then we are in the Autotune/Production By Commitee or Perfection Perduction/AI Age since about 2012-2014, were almost everything seems to be either Avante Garde or Derivitive. There are a ton of great players out there, but none of them get traction to be huge were everyone knows who they are, plus the music pay model has changed, I musician can be supported by 50,000 listners/customers these days, they don't have to go Gold or Platinum anymore. Just my take on things.
