To truly be ‘classic SDA hymns’, the words of song #6 would be in agreement with biblical scripture (1 Thessalonians 4:13-18) stating “I’ll fly away… when Jesus comes alleluia by and by, I’ll fly away”. May God bless you all!

They are beautiful songs, most were written by those who meet with Christians on Sunday. It is their worship songs unto their Saviour. I have first hand experience and knowledge concerning this. In all reality they are not Seventh Day Adventist hymns. They are Eighth Day Worship hymns. Amazing Grace?? No Seventh Day Adventist existed when that was written!!

@@ronaldmdiaz so true. The Seventh Day Adventist hymnal (title) is very deceptive. Most unsuspecting people do not know that most of the songs in the SDA hymnal were written by ANTI-SDA persons….at least in doctrine. I know Fanny Crosby would not agree with most of the SDA ideologies just by reading her hymns and her autobiography. 16 of her hymns (edited, I’m sure) are in the SDA hymnal.
