The problem with some of these is the recessed bridge which might be too low. It's heavy, and the nut is plastic. Sometimes the action is too high so the shim will have to replaced. Other than that, the brass bridge is great.

I have the strat model SSS I did get it used but there was some issues with the neck the fret board was seperated from the neck from the third fret to the nut. super easy fix. It did require a bit of setup and fret work for sure. The pickups are actually very good I did put a SD mini HB in the Bridge position with a push pull split. But the Slick pickup acually had better wire than the Duncan. The nut is plastic but I put a bone on it. I have now some pretty low action with no buzz and it is what I play the most out of 2 LP's and a Gretch. They are worth the setup.

That's a mean looking machine and it looks like you're enjoying the hell out of it. I recently bought an SL52 LP style with humbuckers and am pretty happy with it but it did need a setup. I like Slick guitars but I might love them if they didn't come with the goofy head stock. Oh well you can't have everything. Enjoy your new toy.

Sweet looking guitar with the natural finish. Been wanting one but cant decide on which model. Looks like prices have gone up, so at some point they'll go on sale again, I hope. Prolly in December when I can't afford it :p

I bought a SL54T about 4 years ago , it's a great guitar , single Humbucker sounds great , plays great ! I broke my High E string and didn't have another full set if strings so i replaced it with another B string , so i have 2 - B strings , it sounds really cool !

How does the neck feel? I prefer a bit of heft over skinny wizard style necks. Is it more chunky or slim?
