Legendary back in the state of GA. You saw his highlights on sports shows in the state of GA more than the Bulldogs and Yellowjackets. Tracey Ham is a legend, but Adrian Peterson made young boys who didn't have the Fla St's, UGA's, and other big name schools looking for them, want to play for GA Southern!

I’m honored to say I saw #3 play in person against Oregon St, Georgia, Delaware, and Chattanooga. Every time it was clear. AP was special. He will always have his place as one of the greatest pure running backs to ever play this game. GATA!!!!

I've decided to celebrate the end of the semester by releasing a video of the best runner in FCS history. Who are some other backs that dominated on the lower level of D1 football?

Ryan Herich After being a 6th round pick, Peterson had an eight year career as a quality backup for the bears. I don't see how that qualifies him as a bust. He wasn't a NFL hall of famer, but he was good enough to stick around for almost a decade.

PockyCandy no this dude did absolutely nothing for being "the best FCS Runningback" as you described him. Not Terrance West, Walter Payton good in college but even so should've done something in his career. He only started six games in his career and those games that he started were solely because two running backs who were in front of him got injured. Averaged 140 yards per season rushing, 70 yards per season receiving and 389 total touches (avg. for starting rb for a season) in his career has 6 fumbles.

hey can you do a Troy Davis from Iowa State, THE ONLY RB to Ever run for Back to BACK 2000+ yards rushing! He should have won at least 1 heisman, and not eddie geaorge in 1995. those ISU teams were Horrible on defense, that is why they never one more than 3 games while he was in Ames iowa!

This is an excellent request. He was a really good RB. I was recruited by Iowa State coming out of HS. Had I went he would have been getting there maybe about a year or two when I left. He was an outstanding RB.

@@BreuckelensFinest thank you yes he was a good back, you have to be with a shotty line, no rec core and hell no qb, plus you and the defense knows whos getting the ball, can you see how good they could have been if there Defense would have been like half way good or a stellar defense? what school you end up attending? the Clones are me and my sons team it is amazing what Coach McCarnney did to turn that program around, and now coach campbell has them on the verge of turning the corner to being an elite school and team only hope we can keep him!

@@rickmoreno6858 Hey Rick, forgive me bc this is the long answer to your question. My SAT scores were horrific. I was being recruited by Iowa State, Kansas & Temple. I was what they called a Prop48 back then. Now, I had an opportunity to take a D-2 scholarship to Southern Connecticut but this was the kicker, I had to sit out my first year, & get my grades up & then I can maintain my scholarship & I would have 3 years of eligibility to play. Well, bc I was being recruited by 3 division 1 teams, I decided to go to Jr College & try to get a 2 year scholarship to either of those 3 D-1 schools I mentioned or other one's. Well my daughter was born when I was in my second year of college & this shifted my whole paradigm & I had to get out into the real word to support my daughter at 19 years old. Now to make a long story longer hahaha. I found out recently through one of my best friends, Danny Landburg, who is probably the best HS football coach in NYC history. (He just won the last 2 NYC HS football championship's in a row) & has produced the most D-1 football players than any coach in NYC history. He's a pipeline to Ohio State, Syracuse & Rutgers & pretty much the Big10 conference. Anyway, Danny expressed to me that our HS football coach could have spoken to Iowa State (Bc that's where I really wanted to go) & had them put me as a "Prop48" which means that I sit out a year, get my grades up & have 3 years of eligibility to play. When I found this out 30+ years later, I was pissed that my coach didn't give me this option. My LB from HS took a 4 yr ride to Kansas & he told me that there were about 5 guys on his team that were prop48's. I had to let it go bc we were all at a pool in Las Vegas & I had to look at it as, well, my HS coach didn't know any better. Anyway, I'm glad I stopped playing when I did bc every single one of my friends that played Major College football & the NFL, their bodies are completely done! I'm grateful that my body is still strong & youthful. Anyway, that's my long answer to you. Btw check out my 70 yard TD in my channel back in 1986. I was 15 Years old then. I did that a lot. I ran a 10.62 in the 100 meters & a 4.3 forty. Also check out Erasmus Hall High school here in Brooklyn NY, where my Danny coaches. His player Curtis Sammuls plays in the NFL & he did great at Ohio State. I've been trying to get my man PockyCandy to do a video on Sammuls but he declined me before. But I don't care, I'm happy he made the Walter Payton video for me. That means more to me. Salute Pocky & Rick. Again sorry about the long response. Stay safe in these tough times.

dear pockycandy i love your videos, however when you refer to players as classical tailbacks i think of woodwinds, strings etc. But when referring to a near perfect prototype, of any kind the word is CLASSIC. not classical. not even in past participle , or past tense. It makes no sense. Excuse the run on. Its constructive criticism, I'm sure it takes a lot of work bru. GO DETROIT!!! Don't take it hard just take it.

Thank you for your well put together response. I call this series "Classical Tailbacks" because some classical piano music plays in the beginning and ending of each video, and the players are classic anyways. In my original plans, classical music from composers like Handel, Bach, and others were supposed to play throughout the entire video, reinforcing the "Classical" theme. PS: This response probably makes no sense, but I hope that you can understand where I'm coming from. My brain is dead from final exams.

This was considered D1AA back in the day. Now FCS. But Ga. Southern has moved up to FBS recently. Sun Belt, or C-USA, I'm not sure.
