He is such a wonderful tenor, his voice come with melting warmth and such grace. Totally blew me away in Pearl Fisher, I hope I get to see him live someday.

I really enjoy Polenzani's performances. I've seen him many times, but he just blew me away in Pearl Fishers. His vocalization and phrasing just took me away to another land. Ceylon, I guess!

I like his high tenor voice. Many tenors sound like baritones.

Well, in all fairness, the baritone voice is the most common singing voice in men, in general.

@@flannerymonaghan-morris1137 Then they should stick with their natural baritone vocal range instead of trying to be tenors.

If they can sing tenor rep then why not?
@piustwelfth2 жыл бұрын
@@flaze3 Why not? Because most sound like baritones posing as tenors. Most of the famous male singers in opera history have been tenors which is why many baritones aspire to the tenor voice.

@@piustwelfth there is a deficit of natural tenors because most guys are baritones, so from a financial point of view it makes sense for high baritones to retrain as tenors. As long as they can hit the notes decently, more power to them!

This guy came to my school to teach a masterclass to my high school choir class...couldn’t be there because of a family emergency.

I've seen footage of rehearsals where they have electronic equipment 'in' the auditorium. Do creepy people penalize performers for abandoning legato? Seems as though 'paper' (score) is merely the scientific recording . . . put to paper . . . and 'not' spiritual.

Should've put music on earlier. He suddenly became more sincere once 'in' the sound.
