I am really impressed by the quality of your French, la chanson de la mariée est un vrai bonheur.we obviously understand each sentence, each Word. Good sens of humour and délicatesse for this melting-pot of popular songs and sophisticated music of Ravel. o joie de mon ame.. Amazing.good job Mr Polenzani.the perfect voice for Ravel and Rynaldo Hahn.

The opening melody was performed on the soundtrack of the great movie masterpiece, St. Matthew's Passion by Pier Paolo Pasolini, as the musical theme background of Jesus' distressed prayer in the Garden of Gethsemane, as He prays alone for strength to endure his approaching crucifixion. I had first heard it a few years before I saw it in Paris, and was smitten by the melody. I had taped it off the radio on LA's KFAC, a recorded tour de force by the great Victoria de Los Angeles. To hear a thing I loved that much it juxtaposed in such a way, filled me with a depth of poignant paradox that pierced me like nails of penetrating beauty and piety. That was Pasolini for you, what a choice for that most dramatic moment! Incredible. It enshrined the "sentiment" in my memory. And the song. He heard all that in it. More, the song seems to transport you whole to that time, that Hour. Amazing. What music can do.

Beautiful voice. You should try Ravel's Sheherazade piece. It's for Soprano, Mezzo-Soprano or Tenor. I know you could do it justice!
