One of my favorite singers. Ms. Elias was incorrect when she said that the only Wagner she ever sang was as one of the Valkyries. She also sang the role of Mary in The Flying Dutchman. I know this because I own the recording! (Although perhaps she never sang the role on stage, I'm not sure.)
