I started Classic as my favored retail class, knowing almost nothing about Classic as a whole. Over the course of almost two years,. I struggled as a warlock, but ended up finding success on my resto shaman alt, which ended up being my main and finishing off Naxx. For TBC, I have found a more casual guild that does not care about meta comp, but I am still looking forward to both being a warlock again and seeing my brethren rise above the mages.

As a warlock main since the beginning of Classic, mainly being used as a healthstone vendor / uber driver and constantly getting looked down upon by mages claiming their higher parses = higher skill, I really appreciate that video. Instant like and subscribe. ^^

Mage dps is dependent on working with other mages as a team. So yes, it takes more skill. That's not a bad thing, in fact, the fact locks dont rely on other casters for their parse is great if you have bad casters in your raid comp.

So true....as a mostly blue resto druid I never ran into problems finding a raid group even when I was outright guildless. As a blue geared tank warr, enha shaman, or most of other classes i had.....it was nearly impossible to find group even for KZ, unless one crawled up the Guildmaster's butt in some sort of unusualy newscomer friendly guild (good luck with that one).

I remember a lock killing themself with 1 Chaos Bolt crit on Reliquary from full life, while Shielded, because of Power Infusion, boss debuff(s) and trinket sync must have been more than 30k The Arcane Mage could keep up, IF you gave them 4 mana batteries in their group so they wouldn't oom

TBC was actually the first time I rolled a caster class in a MMO, and it was a mage, and I had a blast :p I pexed him almost exclusively in battlegrounds with PvP gear from the vendors outside. I'd do some dungeons from levels x0 to x5 (later expansions I also did archaeology while waiting in queue) to get some enchanting materials and fill remaining gear slots then off to BGs. At that time you could do a lovely AoE frostfire spec with those 10 extra talent points. I was playing a nelf warrior in vanilla and in TBC due to some shenanigans we made a fresh guild on Horde side on another server and I made a warrior again, so after a while it was getting boring. Then I saw a FaxMonkey video and fell in love with the blizzard > frost nova > flamestrike > cone of cold combo. Thus started my reign of terror in Arathi Basin... XD
