The funniest episode was in the latter years of the show and I wish I could remember when. It was an Alibaba scene with a magic carpet on a raised bench with a satin pillow to sit on. The the three men contestants didn't know, there was an electric prod inside the pillow that obviously put out a powerful shock when switched on. One by one Bob would have each man come out dressed to look like Alibaba. Their pants were also satin and very thin. Bob's beautiful assistant would sit next to each on a safe pillow. They would read a love line that said, "....come with me and we will fly this magic carpet up, up, and away! At that point someone would switch on the pillow and up the contestant would come, yelling as loud as he could, I wish someone could find that and post it on KZbin. It is priceless! I still can't stop laughing just thinking about it.

Gosh it was a cute show. I was on it with my mom back around 1964. Bob's guys had chosen 3 children from the audience-with their moms-and brought them to the stage. The children were taken backstage and each mom was asked: will your child talk or not talk when they brought in the Winchell Mahoney doll and set it on the couch and left it alone with each child. I would later hear that the audience went nuts as my poor mom (knowing her child as good as any could) told him I would cry/ball my eyes out. The audience was in hysterics as he explained their were only two choices? But she insisted? He wouldn't yield. So I am set down on that couch, the doll is brought in and set down and the fellow leaves the room. Within 10 seconds, I was terrified and screaming my heart out. The audience laughed through the whole adventure. As we drove home-up Franklin to the 101 freeway on ramp, I remember her grumbling how I had cost her $50 bucks and a trip to Mammoth (she was a ski-nut back then). Ironically, the vacuum cleaner that was her consolation prize actually turned out to be worth more 10 years later!

I was a little kid when saw Bob Barker hosting TorC, my parents loved this show, I recognized the building where the ladies were running around, the CBS studios where the Price is Right is shown, it's next to the L.A. Farmer's Market. I don't remember all of this show but there were parts I would sit with my family (when everyone had just one t.v.), and laughing at the funny things the contestants had to do. Years later, I was happy to see Bob Barker on TPIR! (My sister in law was a contestant on that shown, she won a vacuum cleaner!lol)..This video cracked me up, too funny! No one like Bob Barker. 😊💖

It used to air at 7:00pm after Walter Cronkite - if I'm not mistaken. I was 6 or 7 and still remember it well. Loved Barker s Box... I'll never forget 2 guys who were racing to a location somewhere by water. The first one there got a major prize. One way to get there was by a cruise ship and the other by a tiny row boat. They cruise ship would travel a much greater distance, while the small boat had a much shorter distance. They had to play a game or something to determine who got to choose their vessel. The guy who won the choice inexplicably took the small craft instead of a free cruise. He thought he could beat the ship. I don't think he did.

It seems funny now but I recall people on the show hollering and hooting if they won a Brother typewriter. Singer sewing machines were also popular prizes.Alot of the prizes came from Spiegel catalog.I also used to watch Candid Camera hosted by Alan Funt, in the 1960's.

I appeared on this show in 1972 as a crawling baby. I contacted the company that owns the show years ago and they confirmed what episode I was in, but said it was on 2" video tape stored in an unindexed box somewhere and would take an inordinate amount of time to find it and it would possibly be too degraded to transfer to other media anyway.
