My favorite I guess classic tv shows on dvd and blu ray are Buffy The Vampire Slayer, Angel, Smallville, Supernatural and shows like Viva La Bam, Wildboyz with Steve-O and Chris Pontius as well as the original MTV Jackass. I also love Mighty Morphin Power Ranger, Animaniacs, TMNT from the 80s and 90s and I LOVE the DCAU shows like Batman: The Animated Series, Superman: The Animated Series, Batman Beyond, Justice League and Justice League Unlimited. I have also gotten into the Star Trek tv shows like The Original Series and The Next Generation. Quantum Leap is up there too because I grew up with it. Same with Rugrats, the original Doug on Nickelodeon and some of the other Nickelodeon shows. New classics for me include Arrow, Flash, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow and shows like those. Good selection and keep up the great work Christian! Ty lots for the content man and keep being awesome!

Was watching your discussion on The Lost River Drive-In and I feel ya. I often feel like that with literally everything. True crime, movies, music, etc. And I'll tell you this, two of my all time favorite movies are But I'm a cheerleader and Romy and Michelle's high school reunion. My go to TV shows are The facts of life, Quantum leap, Punky Brewster, Married...*sighs* with children, Daria, Family ties,. Eight is enough, I love Lucy, and Clarissa explains it all. I like to watch the Roseanne Halloween specials and Christmas special. Same with Xena. You know, Christian...I also grew up on the Roseanne show back in the 90's and a couple years ago I decided to watch the April fools episode for April fools day. It was an episode I had already seen back in the 90's and early 2000's...and they totally got me with the title,lol. The April fools episode is about paying your taxes. An april fools joke on the audience. So I totally fell for it. Oh and Tales from the crypt. I've been watching that around October every year for the past few years. Same with Are you afraid of the dark? Past two summers I've given the summer episode of Married...with children a watch and absolutely had a blast. I'll ride my exercise bike in the 100 degree hear for 2 hours. Lay back in my chair drinking nice cold water, eating a sandwhich relaxing with the A.C on. Stretching my legs out. For maybe an hour or an hour and a half...then I'll watch the episode and drink a nice cold beer and go "I wonder what the poor people are doin?" Just like Al Bundy in the episode,lol. Flintstones. I use to watch that more often. Not anymore, really. Last year though I rewatched a couple episodes of The The Herculoids, remember that show? You might of watched it back in the 90's. It was on Boomerang. I use to watch Saved by the bell as well as the prequel Good morning, Miss Bliss. I still watch the Christmas two part episode and my all time favorite episode "No hope with dope". Always got to love the ending with them going "Stupid. Crazy. Stinks" and it shows Screech popping out of a locker and what is on the locker door? A photo of John Lennon smoking a joint. NICE TOUCH. "How you gonna smoke pot and tell these kids not to do it today?" Hilarious. Oh and of course in my home. I live with my brother. We always tend to have King of the hill playing in the background. Family ties with Amy Steele aka Ginny. That is episode Summer of 82, oddly enough episode 2 of season 1?! I watched The summer of 42 the movie in 2020, it was pretty good. I added it to my summer movies rotation. Every single time I say or heard the term "52, 62, 72, 82, 92" or Summer of 69 by Bryan Adam's which I listen to every summer. I always end up with the narrator from the Summer of 42's voice saying at the end of the movie "Summer of 42" with this very strong accent in my head, and of course I mimic his accent "Summer of 42/82" as well. His accent with that phrase has just stuck with me since then. Also, I saw your video on Night shift. Really good movie. I watched it in 2022. By the way, I do wonder if your into Scifi. Have you seen for instance Rollerball from 75? It's a great dystopian movie. Speaking of which. I've decided, when I turn 40 I am gonna celebrate by watching Logan's run. I've already seen it once before in like 2015 and been wanting to give it a rewatch and what a perfect time, right? Just got to wait 3 more years....*signs* Damn, I'm getting old. Depressing.

Those Box Sets are mod, but with pressed discs. They are not available via retail, only online. I bought both sets from Amazon last month. They are a bit pricey (around 120$ each), but the picture quality is stunning compared to the older DVD sets. But there are a few issues regarding replaced music and not always using the original aired episodes. But I‘m personally not that familiar with the episodes to actually notice any of those alterations. To me those new BD Sets are looking really stellar. Greetings from Germany! Chris

Thanks CHH for this video. I am a huge tv shows on DVD and Bluray fan. Enjoyed this video very much. Just so you know "Cheers" and "Frasier" have been released on bluray. Both look great on Bluray, however, my understanding is that some of the "Cheers" episodes were edited due to music rights (on the bluray)....so the DVD's supposedly are the better versions (not edited). I highly recommend the DVD sets of "The Munsters" (only 2 seasons, and lots of bonus extras), "The Big Bang Theory" (which is on Bluray and DVD) and any of the Norman Lear shows that were released in box sets by Shout Factory ("All In The Family", "The Jeffersons", "One Day At A Time" (70's Version)). Another great box set is"That 70's Show" (but don't get the DVD version....lots of complaints of discs freezing (Mill Creek put it out), But the Bluray version of the show is much better (I have that version.....Mill Creek does a much better with their Bluray sets). I also have "The Flintstones" Bluray set (there was an issue with the 1st disc on the set....apparently there was music missing on one of the episodes, but Warner Brothers had a replacement program and issued out replacement discs. Hopefully, they are now in the current release of the set (I bought mine when the bluray box set initially came out). Three's Company! VEI actually has the entire series as a boxed set. And they've included both spinoffs as extras. The Ropers and Three's A Crowd. It doesn't get better than that.

I've actually been finding a lot of TV shows at thrift stores and places like, Half Price Books. Some are even still sealed. Anyway, those are some excellent TV boxsets you shared. I have all of the seasons of Seinfeld on DVD and the 90s episodes of The Simpsons (I think the show went downhill in the 2,000s). Also have the Beavis & Butthead Mike Judge Collection and some of 90s X-Files episodes. Id love to find the Unsolved Mysteries complete boxset at a decent price.

Roseanne is my favorite sitcom of all time! I watch the full series yearly! If we ever get a blu ray set, I'll be the first in line. I also love Home Improvement and Boy meets world! Great video, CHH! FYI, Shout Factory put out an awesome Saved By the Bell box set that includes all episodes, including college years and the 2 movies. Must own set IMO!

I’m actually kinda getting back to enjoying DVD’s. Don’t get me wrong I’m still huge on 4ks but there is a bit of nostalgia in watching them in dvd formats. Btw the original Married with Children Box sets are beautiful. I bought them all each year they released and still have them in great condition. That box they’re selling now is sad. I just watched Murder, She Wrote episode Bloodlines (S10-E6) with Shawnee Smith. Lots of wonderful guest on Murder, She Wrote. My mom and I would watch a lot of Murder, She Wrote and Columbo. We loved detective/crime dramas.

My favorite non-horror shows growing up were Battlestar Galactica, Wonder Woman, Six Million Dollar Man, Bionic Woman and Pippi Langstrumpf (Pippi Longstocking in America). Of later on Airwolf awesome series. Of the ones you showed my favorite is ALF. But I've been mainly trying to collect horror and some sci-fi. Good selection and cool video Christian!👉🙂👈

I believe what happened with ALF was the last box set had the syndicated versions of the episodes. Usually if a TV show says unedited that's what it means. Like for example, There's Company was a 25-28 minute show but now there's only 21 minutes to show so what we get now are the syndicated episodes that cut out like 5 minutes. The Project ALF movie acts as a series finale. I love Roseanne, it's unfortunate that Season 10: & The Connors hasn't been released, but the original run was great. I have that Married with Children set and yeah it's crap. But it at least has every episode as well as specials. The Saved by the Bell Complete Series set is a bit weird because it's the only way to get Good Morning Miss Bliss and they are only the syndicated versions with the Saved by the Bell intro and outro. See, Good Morning Miss Bliss is owned by Disney, while NBC owns the syndicated rights and Saved by the Bell. So unless Disney decides to release it that's the only way to watch it. I do need to get Cheers. Not a huge Frasier fan. TV shows coming to Blu-ray is a weird one because when done properly, you get Batman (1966) and Star Trek: Next Generation where they actually went and remastered it and in the case of Batman kept the aspect ratio. You definitely don't want Buffy HD remaster because that was done so lazily as they AI remastered it which cleaned everything up even changing the color timing and making it widescreen even though it was never meant to be seen like that, so you see stuff on the sides that shouldn't be there. Family Ties is another show I need (as well as Norman Lear stuff). Murder She Wrote and Columbo are great need those too. So like you, I’m a huge Roseanne fan and started collecting the individual seasons back in 2005 and they hold such a special place in my heart. I could never part with them because of all the great memories. Also, I have the Anchor Bay release of the Halloween episodes *chefs kiss* 😚 I have the same crappy Married with Children boxset, and I agree, not good! I did get to meet Katey Sagal & David Faustino and had them both sign it, so now I can never part with it. Really enjoyed seeing all your fun box sets. Thanks for sharing!

I’m a massive Community fan so I got the complete show on DVD… the packaging is worse than the married with children one. It’s the same cardboard sleeve design except the big box doesn’t even have a slip off cover like that one. It’s just a very flimsy box that bends every time I open it

That married with children packaging is insanely bad , but you want to see the worst packaging? Look up the Sanford and son complete series omg the worst of the worst like 15 discs just stacked on a cardboard spindle.

Funny that you should do a video on this since I just picked up the Shout Factory complete series of WKRP In Cincinnati today at Walmart. Then last week I upgraded to the Kino blu-ray sets of The Outer Limits. Flintstones, I do have the blu-ray set. I was born in '71, so I grew up with them and a lot of Hanna-Barbera cartoons. The blu-rays to me look fantastic. Sadly, the only other Hanna-Barbera set I have is Hong Kong Phooey. Some of my other sets: 01. Pink Panther Cartoon Collection (Kino blu); also have from the same creators The Ant And Aardvark and The Inspector. 02. Stingray: The Complete Series (Shout Factory; Another show I watched as a kid. I think you'd appreciate it along with the better known show by the same creators, Thunderbirds. All the characters are marionettes. 03. Quantum Leap 04. The Incredible Hulk (w/ Bill Bixby) 05. Miami Vice 06. Sliders Seasons 1-3 07. V The Mini-series, Final Battle, and the complete series. 08. The Complete Schoolhouse Rock (not a tv series, but it's pure nostalgia gold for 70s kids. Schoolhouse Rock were animated shorts played in between the main cartoons using music to teach math, science, history, etc)

I just got done watching WKRP and I will tell you what that was a much better show than I thought it was going to be. If you have never seen it before, binge it. There are some heavy episodes that really make you bond with the characters at least it did for me. I hated to see them go by the end of the series.

Mill Creek is terrible. I believe that Roseanne set includes edited syndicated versions. The individual Anchor Bay sets are way better. No edits, less compression.

I usually prefer anthology tv so in my collection I have the Twilight zone complete series the 80s twilight zone complete series tales from the dark side the complete series and the huge tales from the crypt complete series with the separate DVD cases for each season

Where's the Simpsons?! I'm joking. I want to buy Married with children on DVD but that packing is what's keeping me from buying it. I've seen Mil creek do the same packing. I don't know if they still make these but the slim DVD cases I would buy just for Married with children if I ever bought it. As I mention in your last video I own The Simpsons season 1,2 and 4. I wish I bought season 3 from the used record store I use to go to before I moved to another City. I do want to own American dad I love that show. I use to own The Last man on Earth with Will Forte

Awesome video ! my all time favourite sitcom is M*A*S*H, but Roseanne is a very close contender. my girlfriend and i both have the roseanne boxset and they are both unfortunately packaged like your married with children set which is bogus. found out recently shes not a fan of the halloween specials ! now im just trying to come up with a better excuse to dump her ass haha. Thanks for showing me that ALF boxset, thats my best buddies favourite TV show (after MASH) and im totally gonna pick that up for his birthday. Also Christian, i have to ask you , have you ever seen the video 'Through Eyes Of The Dead' by the band Necrophagia ? its a collection of horror movie based metal videos from a new orleans based band with the singer from Pantera on guitar. if you never seen it before its on youtube, and you totally should as its the pinnacle of Louisiana horror metal culture. Not sure if metal is your bag, but if you do check it out make sure there are no children or innocent animals in the room.
