Another excellent video. You can see why the owner of that lovely Vanquish came to you to get his car in perfect health. Thank you for highlighting and bringing the correct solutions to the fore. This isn't the first time I've come across Branded Aston parts from a third party that have virtually trebled in price. Unfortunately, these hiked up costs can put owners off these cars. But aren't we glad that the owner of this Vanquish came to you, and he'll be absolutely over the moon and no doubt with use the costs involved will pale into insignificance now he can drive his beloved Aston without any worries. Well done Bamford Rose.

How similar is this AM gearbox to the BMW SMG box....I have the latter and absolutely LOVE it

What about evolving the Classic Vanquish ASM gearbox to a later spec? How high are the technical hurdles to fitting a V12VS or modern Vanquish S system as a replacement? A Bamford Rose Classic Vanquish Gearbox Update to compete with the AM Works manual conversion would give owners a choice.

Mike, still trying iron out my Vanquish, still thinking to ship it to you, if we can not get it finished here in the colonies. How should we drive and shift the vanquish transmission, in all modes ASM, ASM Sport, Paddles, Sport Paddles? 2003 Vanquish.

I live on the West Coast of the US. If I were to pursue a complete inspection and 'strategic plan' through Bamford Rose (most importantly to include the 'bulletproofing' of the transmission) do you have any recommendation on how the logistics could be worked out? Do you have an established process for US cars to be sent to the UK for this?

Even with the gearbox bullet proofed can you drive it like a modern paddle shift car or do you still need to lift your foot during shifts? Would you recommend the dial disc clutch as well? I know there’s lots of faults can happen with these cars Transmissions. We’re still trying to sort mine out.

My VQs at 25k miles did not have those issues and im appreciative for my luck and BRs informative video. I trust my DBS doesn't have the niggles described. And thankfully neither has the issues of a F car.

Back when it debuted I didn't like it either. The tail lights looked cheap and off-the-shelf and the squared off haunches looked weird to me. The DB9 looked so much more bespoke and "right". Then I got a little older Now I worship the original V12 Vanquish, Ford switchgear and all. It was all I could look at during a gathering of modern Aston's which included the V12 Vantage, etc etc. Just gimme a Vanquish
