We used to make paper trees when I was a kid. So 2 yrs ago I made some with readers digest magazines. I spray painted, gold, green etc and put an ornament on top and they turned out lovely You got stuff for great prices as they should be, great job!.

What a great haul and DIY projects! Nice glass baubles, lights, and brass horse. Those little purses are adorable. My favorite of the thrifted items are the vintage box-you should glue in a dark green velvet cloth inside- and the vintage clock! So pretty! 😍The paper tree is terrific! You made the train station look magical. The coffee table ottoman! 😍Love! Glad to hear that your son is resting nicely at home. I can totally understand not buying from thrift stores that aren’t connected directly to charities. I remember the video of the people working at Good Will refusing to donate shoes to a homeless man outside the store who didn’t have any shoes. I decided I wouldn’t go there after that. Hi Lynsey. I was going to tell you the upcycle projects that I liked the most but decided I liked them all. In particular I loved your Christmas plaque. It looks so great! I’m always amazed that you have the vision to transform these items. The other one that impressed me was the hassock. You were so brave to just jump in and paint it. I did liked the burgundy colour but you were right to paint it. The thrifted wool strip was just right. Reminds me of an old library look. I realize that I am far too tentative in my projects. I must channel my inner Lynsey. So pleased that your precious son is on the mend. ❤

Love the coffee table! all of your thrifts turned out great. I painted a sofa and chair that was in my husbands family for years but it would have been cost prohibitive to reupholster and above my skill level. Love both of them and it has lasted two year perfectly. It’s in a living room so not a ton of use. From St Louis Missouri USA

Happy news about your son ❤. The haul was awesome especially the clock, the box, the little Christmas duck and the awesome little decoupage box. And you found some beautiful ornaments and greenery. I thought the train piece turned out so good, looks very updated. The coffee table was brilliant and I love the fabric at the bottom!!! You could use some of those beautiful upholstery tacks at the top of the fabric if you could find some textured brass ones!!! But I think it looks very nice without them. You must have great thrift stores there!!! Here in west Texas I have found so few thrift shops. I thought the Avon tree looked fab in that little box too. You are so creative and have wonderful ideas!!! Where do you get your inspiration and energy??? Please send me some ❤❤❤

Lynsey, we're so happy about you son but I'm not removing the note taped to my computer until you say all clear. Loved everything but I've found that beautiful tops on boxes mean that if I use them in any way other than closed, I've lost the design & if shows then is upside down. I just look for sides now & had a great 1 for Halloween w $ Tree skeleton head on stand, plastic but works, on top.
