I'm shocked these sellers are on Poshmark Story time about a Fake Tory bag I bought & Goodwill Haul

I purchased a bundle of about 4 coach items from Poshmark (Canada). One of the pieces was a very small case which I later found out was to hold a contact lens case. I had used it to hold some small jewelry pieces when I traveled to visit my son and when I got back, decided to reposh. I listed it and after about a week I received a message from Poshmark that it was a fake and that they had removed the listing. I was literally having a laugh because they chose to call out my listing for a tiny item I had listed for about $20.00 while there are so many obvious fakes all over Poshmark. Like you Lori, I too have reported many fakers to Poshmark but never see these closets taken down. I used Posh credits to purchase this bundle of coach items so I’m not out anything but I just thought it was strange that they would pick on this small item, purchased on Poshmark in the first place. I’m so sorry you had this happen to you. I’m always very cautious about buying anything luxury on Posh or even in the thrift stores. Happy New Year to you and your wonderful family. My 18 year old son just went to NYC for NYE (we're near Boston), and decided to spend $550 for a Louis Vuitton belt, at the LV store. One belt. I don't know what he was thinking, but Mom is not happy. He's is not in a tax bracket at 18 to be spending $550 on belts. For a teenager, a fake can be done very well (when the buyer knows upfront that it is a fake), and there is no need to pay for the name. Their teen friends are not going over items with a microscope to authenticate them, especially when it is just the belt they are wearing.

I bought a small gucci coin purse that was advertised as used. When I got it, it was so obvious it was in new condition and an obvious fake. You could see light through the seams. In that situation Poshmark just gave me my money back

Just recently started following you and I love your videos! I love reselling Tory Burch specific styles only and I do so well and it is my quickest turn around from the three brands that I sell. I feel the same about Kate Spade, Michael Kors and Dooney Bourke as you do about Tory Burch. The few pieces I had from those 3 brands sat in my closet for so long and I had to sell most just to get my money back. I will never pick those brands up regardless of how cheap I can get them for.

I find it hard to believe that there are so many "designer" pieces available on Poshmark. I seldom to never find any when I'm sourcing. Hence, I don't buy. Thank you for standing up to the Scammer.

I think most people wanting to sell their designer stuff will consign it. I also know some sellers like Jack and Ryan (from Jack Valentine youtube channel) who have a lot of high end items for sale will specifically shop consignment and pay up for it if they can still make money from it.

Wow, it was hard to tell if the bag was a fake or not. As a seller, I sometimes wonder if the items I thrift are authentic or not, even though I try my best to evaluate the quality. If I had found this bag at an estate sale, I probably would have assumed it was authentic. But then, I don't sell or own any luxury bags so I don't know what to look for. At least the seller was willing to accept a return, and Poshmark approved it. What concerns me are sellers who ignore buyers, or refuse to accept responsibility for their products.

If I get notified that I have a seller new to following me, I check to see how many items they have posted and maybe give them a follow back. But if I see that they are selling a Dyson hair product, it's automatically a NO from me, to follow back. I see it SO MUCH, that to me it reads, SCAMMER. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Not Poshmark but Mercari. My mother purchased a Canada Goose coat a few years ago. She gave it to me to resell once she was finished using it. I still have it in my unlisted inventory because I believe it is fake. My mother never thought to research real vs. fake when she bought it. She’s tried to reach out to Mercari about the account she purchased it from and of course they are no longer on Mercari. 😢

This is very frustrating! I got banned over a Target $10 tshirt and a $10 pajama top. They claimed they were counterfeit and I never got my account back. They weren’t sales or anything. I think someone falsely reported me because shortly before posh suspending me someone liked like 20 of my items. Ugh. Posh was not helpful. YET they let bad sellers sell fake higher end bags. 😡 Hope you find a real Tori But h bag of your dreams at a great price! 🤞🏼🍀

Hi, omgosh Lori! Poshmark falling down on job here it seems. Thanks for sharing. Just wondering where seller located? Technsports on youtube had a disturbing video where he went to a street in New York City snd was full of vendors selling all kinds of fakes. That bag you bought probably cost $100 there. The most disturbing thing was NYC was allowing it! Makes one angry. I know LA also has a similar “fake” item street. ☹️

Is the fake bag well made? What would it retail for if it was an inspired bag? I don’t understand why they just don’t sell inspired especially when they are half price. I only buy preloved bags on posh. Anything I buy brand new I buy off the official websites. I usually buy Kate, Tori and Coach on sale off their websites. I have a couple from Portland leather. But I can’t afford the thousand dollar purses.

it is not inspired or a dupe. This is a counterfeit. They are using the trademark and name of the real bag. You can get major trouble selling fakes even if you disclose that it's fake

Wow, so wild that the bag was so similar down to the tissue paper! I just won a case last week on Poshmark for some Birkenstocks I got that I thought were real for weeks before they started falling apart and hurting my feet. That seller is still active - why does Posh allow this on their platform?!
