Great reaction to a great song. "Keep me free from birth" refers to the Hindu/Buddhist doctrine of reincarnation, where you keep returning to earth to be born until you break the cycle and achieve liberation. So you want to escape the cycle of birth and death.

George's "All Things Must Pass" triple album was a masteriece. It was like he had all these songs pent up that couldn't make it on to Beatles' albums (largely due to John and Paul, but that's another subject) suddenly sprayed out as if from a firehose. And you're right, George was the best Beatle.
@jackiewilliams4854Ай бұрын
The Best?? Do you mean your favorite? I love George Harrison but without John and Paul you would have never heard of George. He’s stated in interviews that he learned how to write songs from Lennon and McCartney. That being said, All things must pass is a masterpiece and Give me Love is pure genius.

The song's time signature is primarily 4/4, with a meter change to 2/4 at the end of the intro, and to either 3/4 or 7/4 at the end of each pre-chorus (depending on the interpretation of the scorer). The musical key is F major. As on Harrison's recording, this can be accomplished by placing of a capo on the guitar's third fret, to transpose the chords from D up to the correct key. The intro features strummed acoustic guitar, similar in style to the opening of Bob Dylan's "Mr. Tambourine Man".The song builds gradually from its understated introduction, with the rhythm section only fully arriving after the first bridge segment. Harrison biographer Gary Tillery describes the musical mood as "bouncy yet soothing

"Free from birth" refers to the Hindu belief that life equals pain. And so to free oneself from the pain of life, don't be born. It's another way of looking at attaining spiritual enlightenment. Have you heard George's "Isn't It a Pity," version 1 from "All Things Must Pass?" It's 7 minutes, 10 seconds long and worth every drop of it. That's his song regarding the pain The Beatles put one another through, and it pays a beautiful homage to "Hey Jude," right down to being one second shorter. You can't die without hearing that song with headphones.
