Terrific playing and highlights how well-suited a classical is to jazz guitar

Excellent! I say the two guitars compliment each other well. As do the players!

But why are there only so vew non gipsy jazz guitarists like this, who play the classical guitar? The only one I know is Charlie Byrd and even he is mostly a bossa nova guitarist. (nothing against gispsy, it's great)

In my humble opinion, I believe that classical guitars are perfect for chords play (comping or chord solos) in jazz. But when it comes to Bebop solos, it's really difficult to speed up in comparison with the electric ones. I've tried it with my spanish handmade custom classical guitar.

I LOVE this presentation. You guys are playing so calmly and really letting your playing and the sounds of your instruments shine. Congrats!!! PS, I dig the nylon, but that's just me👽🎶✨

To me this vs. that is self-defeating and this is a great example. I couldn't say one or the other, instead both please!! Great playing and tone on both sides.....the more jazz the better :D

Have this same cordoba and it’s made me want to play jazz on it. So easy and I’ve played both classical and jazz for 40yrs.

I already knew before this started that the Cordoba would nail it. I have an LE-Koa from '08, and I'm thinking of getting the GK for the lower action and brightness.

a cedar/rosewood guitar, instead of this spruce/maple would be more suitable with the mellower and richer jazz sound

Es 175 especially with flatwounds always sounds muddy when chords are played, and as you can hear here is also irritatingly immature when it comes to treble notes. A grosly overrated guitar, as is most Gibson jazz boxes- imho :))))
