Was using a video of a steel string guitar to tune my nylon but I could never seem to get it to be in time with itself. I think it's the tone that was throwing me cause this one worked much better. 😎😎😎 Appreciate ya. Before the video I was just using DMB... The live show he and Tim Reynolds did at Luther College.. Typical Situation starts off with that low E. Just thought you all would like to know that about me. 😄😁🤡

Consider tuning to 432hz, there are videos on YT how to do it easily. this tuning is A=440hz (so called 'standard tuning' .. only standard since 1939/1953 where it was changed from 432hz 440hz. Before it was changed, 432hz was the standard tuning everywhere (and may still be in places such as India where they retained their traditional tuning with instruments such as the Sitar). 432hz is a more natural and harmonious frequency and resonates with us on a deeper level, not only does it sound nicer, you can feel the difference. Frequencies are everything, and it was changed for a specific reason... 440hz is an almost dissonant tuning while 432hz is more aligned with the earth and the universe, which is why many are tuning to the Old/GOLD standard, of 432hertz. :)
@gitbad6 жыл бұрын
Lucidvibe yes, I am aware of the frequency thing actually, and I agree its a shame we have most of our music tuned to 440hz if its not natural for us! The only reason I did it in this tuning is cause almost everything else is, 432hz would be like standard tuning, just slightly flat... Will make a video for this soon, thanks!
@Wil_Dsense6 жыл бұрын
well that's awesome. I've been into sound design and music making/theory for a while so am very interested in frequencies etc, I actually just got my first Electro/Acoustic Guitar yesterday tho! I was looking for tuning vids comparing them etc, and to tune myself to 432 hz. I'm pretty sure the Guitar I picked up was already tuned at 432hz, if not very close. I did a comparison after with the A=440 and it for sure sounds nicer! Cheers Bud. I'll sub so I can check your new vid!

I tuuuuned the D until it snapped...... is it the string or my ears faulty?
@gitbad4 жыл бұрын
An old string might snap especially if it's getting rusty, or was dusty. If it was a new string that is unusual, unless you tightened too much, in which case would have had a higher pitch than a D note in the video. Hmm I wonder what happened 🤔

Is upper three base strings are nylon
@gitbad3 жыл бұрын
The E A D strings are steel strings, and the G B and e strings are nylon. I think most classical guitar strings are like this.
@mzx41662 жыл бұрын
Apparently the upper 3 strings are nylon wound in wire but despite that, are considered nylon...read up on it. A guitar shop worker told me people mistake them as steel string.

You are supposed to play your strings along and tune them up until they sound the same as what I am playing. Tuning by ear!
@adeelkhan91084 жыл бұрын
Hello sir my classical guitar's 1st string keeps getting off tune after changing it can u help. Other than that all are working properly
@gitbad4 жыл бұрын
This often happens with classical guitar strings, especially the nylon ones. What you should try is pulling on the string, by putting your fingers under it and pulling up, with medium strength (you don't want to break the string). After this tune it back up again, play it for a few minutes, then repeat with another string stretch and retune. You might have to do this several times until the tuning stabilizes. If this doesn't work, the other possibility is that the string is slipping at the tuning peg, but that would be more noticeable.
@DouglasEKnappMSAOM7 жыл бұрын
Why is the last E small?
@gitbad7 жыл бұрын
Douglas E Knapp It's written that way to differentiate from the low E which is the thickest string and the high e is the thinnest string, so its a small e in comparison
@DouglasEKnappMSAOM7 жыл бұрын
Ah. Thanks. I was thinking it might be flat or sharp or something. Got my daughter's guitar tuned, thanks to this video. Your's looks just like her's.

I knew this was standard tuning yet I don't dare to tune my guitar right because the strings will for sure break again. I have been able to change strings before and to tune it without any problem but I have no idea why the strings sound like they are about to break or something when I slowly tune them? Only broke once tho and it was the high pitched E. And nope the white bridge at the bottom isn't Sharp so what the hell is the problem or am I doing anything wrong?
