Vivaldi is my fave, Bill Monroe and Davd Grisman and Jacob du Bandolim are also up there. Ive been playing mandolin since 1976 and you are fierce. Thank you and everyone who helps you.

Check out Brazilian music, it's about as common there as in bluegrass! Novos Baianos has some really great tunes with mando (bandolim) and charango (another small-bodied double course stringed instrument) played together

Wow, it is wonderful to see and hear a beautiful young lady playing such beautiful Vivaldi music so well. I have that music on CD and I often played it in my car. Also, I saw it played live in a concert by the Funchal, Madeira, Portugal orchestra at The Moot Hall on a visit to Maldon, Essex, UK a few years ago.

playing that initial G to G octave on the A string is one of those things that should have come as common sense but watching this helped that for sure. And doing all this from memory, very impressive.. Thank you, wonderful performance, wonderful mandolin!

Wonderful Picking! Like the Flutter of a Wing!...( a humble suggestion to the Princess:::sometimes see & listen to Greek Bouzouki Music. The Bouzouki is tuned one tone below a guitar, the wound strings are paired with octave strings, the other two pairs are in unison. The resonator is deep and is coated with gilt silver! Mother of pearl decorations...it has 26 frets sometimes...the tuning is low to high C, F, A, D☆)
@johnmurdoch8534 Жыл бұрын
I've taken stabs at this on the irish bouzouki and while it does sound great, the stretch of the fingers makes it hard to hit those octaves...at least for me though i'm sure a skilled player could likely give it a go.

That sounds really interesting! Thank you for the suggestion!
