Enjoyed the reaction of The Sounds of Silence. You might want to see Tim Foust sing with The Hound and Fox. Adam Chance also performs with them. The Hound and Fox sing primarily folk songs. The Hound and Fox were the couple in Home Free's mashup of Thinking Out Loud/Let's Get It On. They were also were the unappreciative couple with the small child (their son) listening to the Home Free Christmas carolers on Home Free's video Grandma Got Run Over By A Reindeer.

U2 were dominating radio when I was young and attending college , and then traveling around the U.S.A. for a bit. They impacted me a lot , but I did not know how much until I got older. I actually prefer HF's original video for God Bless the USA in terms of the song itself. The new video is an excellent 'in praise of' for the military, but HF's 'solo' in front of Mt Rushmore is more of, as another commenter put it - a love song to the USA.

Great reaction. You might be interested in Peter Hollens and Tim Foust singing The Hobbit's Misty Mountain. Also, Rob Lundquist and Austin Brown singing Nessum Dorma together might interest you. Rob's professors at the University of Minnesota where he majored in music encouraged him to have a career in opera. Rob, however, decided on another career path. Austin encouraged Rob to sing the aria. Rob who hadn't sung opera in years took a month to prepare for the aria. Rob insisted that Austin sing with him in the video. Austin doesn't have operatic training. He has instead musical theater training. Still, Austin was able to hit the aria's high notes. Rob and Austin were nervous when they released the video about the fans' reaction. The fans were shocked at how different they sounded, especially Rob. He sounds very different than he does singing with Home Free. Despite the nervousness of Rob and Austin, the response of the fans was very positive.

I've only recently found your channel and am catching up on your playlists, so I'm a few months late so you probably won't see this. My dad died during covid. Not from covid but because of covid and the lack of care he was receiving due to overstretched doctors and nurses. He went into hospital for 2 weeks and we never saw him again. When you said about "how many people saw each other for the very last time" I broke. It's been 3.5 years since my dad died and I think I've been completely numb until this moment when you said that. I've always found it really difficult that dad died during covid but not of covid. I feel this was kind of forgotten about knowing people who lost family members because of covid and they were all experiencing this same loss together and my experience wasn't the same. I don't know if "thank you" is appropriate for me being able to finally acknowledge and feel my grief but I guess that's all I've got. So, thank you.

I'm so sorry to hear about your loss 🙏 The reason I said that in this video is because I had a similar experience with a family member (as did some of my friends), so it was coming from a place of experience. Great reaction, I see others mentioned it but right after you stopped the video Peter says that is patrons of ours. They were from both. This is amazing and the work involved to bring it all together is amazing. Love it

It’s so good and yes it was feel good at a rotten time for all of us. All the boys sounded great, Peter’s wonderful and the patrons all sounded great. Funny enough Austin’s cat (Dawg) photo bombs other videos of Home Free and Austin’s solo stuff. I know he shows up in Never Gonna Give You Up (Rick Astley song). You might love Misty Mountains by Peter and Tim……I understand there’s 120 tracks of the two of them. Love it! Good one SH!!😍😃

I love your reactions and analysis's. I never manage to get through this video with dry eyes, I think it's the people doing sign language (as well as the pets) that get to me. I would love to see you react and analyse Wayfaring Stranger by Adam Chance ft The Hound and The Fox ( the young couple from the Thinking Out Loud/Lets Get It On mash up). They are very talented and have also dueted with Home Free, Tim Foust and Peter Hollens. Thank you for informative and interesting reactions.

The way the videos are filmed Wayfaring Stranger goes back to back with The Sound of Silence by The Hound and The Fox feat. Adam Chance. And Reilly and McKenzie Zamber (Hound/Fox) also appear in Home Free's Grandma Got Run Over By a Reindeer.

I always love the collaboration between Peter Hollens and Home Free. The voices of Peter Hollens and Home Free fit together so well. (And the Patreons) Doesn't this sound amazing? Here, too, the harmony and background, bass is perfect again. And let's not forget Adam Rupp with his incredible vocal percussion/vocal sounds, which unifies everything.

You often mention your facial expressions and not knowing how it looks until editing the reaction. This is a perfect example and I think I like this reaction the best because of the absolute joy on your face. Another great reaction and another great song and video by the guys. Well done. Think Misty Mountain should be your next selection with Peter and can’t wait for you to continue with Home Free, still so many more great songs to come. Loving the journey with you.

The stills of them in the woods at the beginning of this video were taken from their video for Amazing Grace video done before COVID. Such moving voices, so beautiful. Oh, and I also highly recommend Peter's version of I See Fire. Castellucci's video is really good but, for me it just doesn't compare. Talk about "master of layering!"

A funny lockdown song you definitely need to check out is Quarantine by Home Free. It's an original. Ugh there are so many that keep popping into my head to recommend! For something completely different Rob and Austin performed Nessun Dorma. Rob has some opera training, and the opera reactors had a lot of fun Tim has said in interviews that his goal as a bass is to sound as much like and bass guitar as possible

I am so happy you reacted and analyzed this one! I can also understand why you got a little emotional. It’s a dynamic video with so many people singing so beautifully and the feeling it emotes. Nothing wrong with showing your true feelings, and I appreciate it. The choir consisted of Peter’s and Home Free’s Patrons. I was going to do it, but I chickened out. I was in an a cappella concert choir in high school, but wasn’t confident in my singing anymore. There is another really great big collaboration video like this one, but it’s Voice Play with some other artists from the Sing Off, and many other artists, including a surprise appearance from Tim Foust. It’s a really impressive video, too!

This was filmed separately in their individual locales - kudos to the editors! The singing, harmonies & beatboxing are outstanding. I think you'd enjoy Austin's latest original "I'll Go First" (have tissues on hand). Peter & Tim's renditions of "Bridge Over Troubled Water" & "Green Sleeves" are terrific. Thanks for playing this & your insights.

And there were a lot of really interesting collaborations during the pandemic. Two, I particularly enjoyed were one by a ton of Broadway stars and the one I loved the most was a collaboration of a Christian song called "the Blessing" which was put together from countries and languages around the world, singing a prayer of blessing on each other. It was awesome.

The one painting that makes me feel that they found what they were looking for is the Mona Lisa ( la Joconde). Her smile tells me that " she" - in fact he- the painter, (Leonardo's self-portrait) did find what he was looking for. The song is so appropriate for the lock down time because, I believe that when we stay still, we do find inside of us what we were looking for outside of us. As usual, your professional opinion is highly appreciated! 🥰
