I played handbells for years. So typically you don't have a music stand but rather your music binder folds to hold up you music for you. And since handbells use so much movement I have essentially punched my music off of the table a couple of times or when I have marted (*correctly* punched the bell into the foam on the table) the vibration from the technique after doing it so many times meant that after the song had ended on a Mart, I relaxed the Mart and then the hand chime fell off the table. I also played C5 bell (C4 for classical musicians, aka middle C) so the director was right in front of me and he bent down and picked up my hand chime. But at least I never was the person that the screw which holds the bell to the handle snapped and the bell casting itself went flying in concert. Such painful times. But we just kept on playing until the finish and always played the melody louder to recenter the group together. *Sigh and takes a long sip of food allergy free tea*
@sexyangel0725 жыл бұрын
KamiTabby I had my music be blown off due to our conductors over exaggerated movements. No really was over exaggerated, we weren’t playing and he was telling us a story about conducting another band and he demonstrated what he did and my whole folder of sheet music just flew off the stand. Was hilarious at the time. I’ve also had music blown away during out door performances that turned unexpectedly windy

I naturally switched to 3rd position on the A string which then started slowly going flatter and flatter as I played, so I had to keep shifting my hand up and up. After the song was over I ran backstage to put on my backup E string and that one broke too! In the end, I grabbed a friend's violin that she wasn't using since they made her play VIOLA. In my orchestra, you can't be late. The conductor told us, that if we are to be late, we shouldn't come at all. So ... I was never late for a rehearsal :D

Lmao I wonder if you go to my orchestra. My conductor gets mad if you're a minute late.

My conductor saw a cellist coming late to the rehearsal and in front of all he said that she was out of the orchestra for being late.

I had to do my last Musical Theory exam and I was the only one who "forgot" to bring the preparation of it bc I didn't write anything down. I study out loud. The teacher thought I was just being a brat, so she said the class could work together on the exam, and I had to work alone. fyi, there's 20 students in that class. I took that as a challenge and I got 17/20 and the class got 14/20. Don't let annoying teachers get in your way-
