I especially love it when henry described the out of tune instrument sound being a metaphor of how intrusive grief can be... and how kevin explained the moment of silence after the breath video. and on cacophony's music, it's hauntingly beautiful, but it creeps the hell out of me, I honestly don't know how exactly I feel about it. what an extraordinary artist

So glad to see more reactions from Korean indie musicians. I think most kpop fans have the misconception that kpop is the sole music listened to in Korea when there are so many talented performers like Cacophony.

I've noticed that in Rosetta the thing she is carrying starts off small and under one arm. Through out the video it gets larger until she falls under the weight of it. I think that is what she buried at the end of the video. In my eyes it feels like it could be the grief and sadness and just the weight of life that builds up to the breaking point, and her burying it is lettinv it all go inorder to start moving on with life again.

Thank you for including the last bit of silence in breath both with the reactors and for us the audience. The song itself is so powerful and the silence allows you to absorb it all and reflect on everything you’ve just experienced and let it all sink in. It both unsettles you and allows you the time to breath.

The tympani is like the mother’s heartbeat, which provides momentum for the song; and the tympani also indicates the progression of time up until the mother’s last breath. The last breath of the song is indicated by a transition to an almost ethereal sounding harmony, death may be a tragedy for the daughter, but the mother is free from suffering...lol that’s just my interpretation

that aspect ratio at 4:16 made me so very happy. edit: for people looking for the darker depressed side of korea, start at googling "han korean meaning", listening to han by tablo, and maybe tablo's solo album. Theres a soft beauty there, that koreans really like and theres no real way to translate it. Bittersweet I guess? 10cm, busker busker, hyukoh's gondry, dean's what2do theres a lot of this soft solemn vibe. Han in korea is something everyone shares and it brings everyone together.

Can you please have them react to a korean show called Hidden Singer?? Specifically the episode with Ailee! It’s a show where the producers find people who have a similar singing voice to a certain singer and it’s the audience’s job to find out which one is the actual singer! Since they know Ailee quite well now, I wonder if they can spot out which singer is Ailee purely based on her voice :)
